Yep, These are common problems. The only solution is to learn to be purposeful when you need to remember something. For our prior life, our memory worked without effort. Now, we have to make an effort, for some a great effort, just to remember.
If people ask me what is the biggest struggle about living with a concussion, my answer is, "I forget."

Yes this drove me crazy for a long time.....Try a few strategies. For me saying out loud helped, also repeating out loud.
Writing things down........and simply keeping it simple....If I try to do 2 things at once or change tasks mid stream, it just messes me up.. Im in over 12 years, and I have far more peace than I ever did! |
