I bumped my head back on the headrest as a passenger in the car going over train tracks two days ago. I was really nervous about it and how hard the hit was so i got back in the car last night and was bumping my head around the headrest bouncing it off to try to convince myself it was just anxiety. I know this was stupid and i shouldn’t have done it i was just trying really hard to convince myself.
Well since last night i feel awful. Awful headache, out of it, dizzy. I know one bump on a headrest wouldn’t do anything but did i reconcuss myself bumping my head back 7-8 times?? Help. |

Hi Jess
I do need to mention that you have now asked about this similar situation a number of times (bumpy car rides) and each time other members here have given you the same reassurances, that you are likely exhibiting anxiety induced symptoms, not concussive. It's understandable, and seems prevalent, to be anxious about anything triggering further concussions, but there is only so much other patient members here can do, and they keep repeating the same reassurances. If you are seriously concerned regarding concussions you need to consult your physician. If you are suffering from anxiety, cognitive behavioral therapy can be very helpful.

Hi there,
I’m currently going to therapy weekly and on an anxiety med. i just have never experienced multiple smaller hits before and wondering if they can add up or how that works. I want to educate myself so it’s something i know to worry about or not in the future. Thank you. |

But surely banging your own head to "test" is certainly not a way to educate yourself Jess
