Hi everybody. It's been a frustrating 6 weeks. However, I finally recovered from covid -19. I am feeling pretty good about that and I didn't go to the hospital while I was recovering.
However, i was cleaning my counter and i was wearing a ball cap. I bumped the beak of the cap on the counter. After this happened ,my anxiety went thru the roof. So i stopped what i was doing and i used my cbt coping stratégies and tools. I am happy my anxiety finally went down.. I will be ok. I sweat buckets when i get anxious. My startle response is bad thou. I didnt give myself a concussion but this was not helpful. I got a headache. Its probably my mind playing anxiety tricks on me. What else can i do to cope? -Alex |

Will you tell a bit about CBT coping strategies for members that might not know anything about it?
That might be a good topic for a new thread.. Is part of it logic self talk? Something like - I only bumped my cap, nothing more than that....I am OK. Maybe some deep calm breathing to reduce the anxiety & tension?

I realize my anxiety will always be around but at least I can manage it and live a normal life.. I am just curious what other members of this forum do when they deal with these stressful situations...... |
