Hi all,
this post isn't directly related to TBI, but I'm assuming that some of you all have had magnetic resonance angiography performed to check for any potential issues with blood vessels in your brain. Apparently there are three broad types of magnetic resonance angiography- 'Time of Flight', 'Phase Contrast', and 'Contrast-Enhanced'; do you know which one is usually used to visualize blood vessels in the brain? Many thanks in advance. |

Actually, MRA or MRI/MRA is not a common imaging study for mTBI. They would be usually only be done if symptoms indicate a need. CT Scan is much more common.
DTI-MRI and SWAN MRI are more common. fMRI is becoming more popular as databases of comparison images and tasks are being published. I've had MRI/MRA and PET scans. I do not know what the specs were. I have the DVDs of the images.
