I am a clod now - I can admit it. But, I am curious. How do I know if I lost part of my peripheral vision?
Walking down the stairs this morning, I was fully awake and showered. However, I missed the bottom step for some reason. My foot curled inward, at the toes & hurt bad! My toes throbbed for a couple of hours, yowza! I couldn't put any pressure on my toes either. Finally, the pain subsided & I went about my day carefully. Now, the pain is back again ![]() Anywho, when I'm in a relatively dark room, my right eye does not adjust to the light level. My left eye can see in the dark, my right eye cannot. Is there a connection between the two? Or am I picking at straws here ![]() Shez |

Hi,
I can remember missing the bottom step of steps when not concentrating pre accident - that does not help at all though does it. I am just trying to say that it was a pure accident and not head/eye related. Though if you have several sight problems I would go to an optician or straight to an opthamologist. I am clumsy too. I think some of it is my balance. I tend to fall if I tread on a small stone. I also find it hard to judge spaces and distances. Like the space around me - putting your head inside a cupboard etc - I just don't do it now and ask somebody to do it for me. Regarding the ability to see at night - I am certain that I just can't see as well as I used to in the dark or my brain just does not register as it once did. I don't think I have any issues with my actual eyes though as I had them lasered a year ago as I was short sighted and the specialist didn't pick up on anything there. The thing that really scares me is if I have angle parked my car and the car next door to me is reversing out I feel like my car is the one moving - it is a horrible horrible feeling as I slam my foot on the brake and think that I am still moving. - ugh!!
