Thanks everyone for the quick replies.
The first two Dr.s I called before seeing this GP at a Walk-in Clinic were neurologists - they both said they refuse to see patients who don't have medical insurance. ![]() This last trip to the Dr. she said 'this is interesting' and that she was 'baffled'. ![]() She gave me prescription for ear drops (local anesthetic only), hydrocodone and Furosemide and told me to increase potassium in my diet. ![]() The hydro + Skelaxin helps some but, I always wake up with the pain. It seems to let up as the day goes on but comes back in the late afternoon and I have to take more meds before I can go to sleep. The pain is not in my ear although, I may have some fluid there (not unusual for me). It started in front of my ear, under the scalp or skull and has migrated around to behind my ear and across the base of my skull. ...and you are right, it isn't anything like TMJ pain. I'm going to call the Dr. this morning and see if she has anything else to offer. |
