Good Job Kat your all done with the trial and final surgeries now comes the healing and getting used to working the battery and the stim programs. hope the nurse called you back and got that script to you. . its gonna take a little bit to get used to battery but after awhile once it is healed over most times ya wont know its there . so one day at a time ...you will get there. Sending prayers for you to be able to get comfy enough to sleep tonight. to heal and recover quickly, also wish safe traveling back home. Bless your sis for being there to help. . Also thank you everyone for the prayers and positive wishes next time your posting kat so get well. but dont rush do NOT put a time line on this healing and adjusting ... one day at a time... next week at this time.. I bet you will have had that salad and picked out a few possible names for T-Rex's cousin

also update on another friend here... and asking for prayers for Easygoing... she is back on page 16 -17... on this thread. Lisa is going in 6 days to have Motor Cortex Stim surgery. It is a much more serious heavy duty surgery then the Pns... Brain surgery attaching the leads to the outter part of the brain aka motor cortex... so Please keep her in your prayers and positive thinking for the next couple months. Thank You. and God Bless

I have some update on a few of the posters here that have PNS.
Calewark (Cheryl) Had her feeding tube taken out yesterday and is eating , She has gained her weight back, the new combo of meds are helping with the new area of pain and her PNS is working fine to control the pain she had in her 3 branches of the trig nerve. she started posting back on the first pages here .

Mylastnevre, (she started posting on page five) had her stim removed . The trail went perfect the final the neuro did not place one of the leads in the same area it was in for the trail he placed it further up by eye and adjustment did not help... the placement of that one lead caused to much pain and eye twitching with stim on so they removed the whole unit and leads. She has been on different meds...and is to finally see a Pain management doctor who will prescribe the meds that have been helping and maybe some new ones that will provide her with better control. Still has the best laugh ever

Easygoing ( page 16 first post and last update by me for her is on bottom of page 21 in my post) Lisa went in this morning to have Motor Cortex Stim implant surgery at Duke University Hospital the surgery started at 1;30 pm this afternoon. She is and has been in my prayers .

Kwebster is ready oh so ready to have her stitches out and meet with the rep ..but has to wait until the 19th. Not many really can appreciate how heavenly a shower and washing your hair can be ..until you arent able to do it for a few weeks. everything is healing good. boy did you freak me out a few days ago Kat we talking on phone and your email you both . said you felt wires poking out behind your ear. I am glad your sis came and looked and it was just gauze and the stitches.. THERE SHOULD BE NO WIRES EXPOSED after your final implant. man I was worried when you said that but so relieved to hear it wasnt. Kat You are NOT a sissy ,whiner or baby. this is your very first ever surgery... you did good you are a warrior you fought threw all the pain the down time during the trial cus the Rep didnt leave you any programs You have been living off boost and apple sauce .. It was and is all you I am only listening when you need an ear thats the easy part honey ...the rest thats all you. so keep healing the 19th is right around the corner...your almost there Kathy your doing great . Stay strong and know your still in my prayers. Enjoy your college company thats coming at end of week. we will talk soon

I thought it would be good to post an update on a few t.n. members .

Also want to post a huge Thank You to NEUROTALK the admins and ALL the people that keep this place running :for this thread it has helped many people and that means so much to me. THANK YOU NEURO TALK.

Easygoing is slowly healing and starting to eat fairly well. She still has her PNS implant for her O.N. it is turned off for now because the motor cortex stim has for the time being helped with her O.N. pain . Praying it continues to help with all your face and head pain Lisa , May God keep healing and blessing you .
PEACE
