Default sorta off topic apology ...

I am sorry I have not been around much I had some teeth issues and after working myself into being brave... last week had oral surgery to have teeth removed on my bad side where the stim wire and lead are located. I was told by my new neuro and my oral doc who put my plates in my lower jaw on both sides BEFORE my stim implant . . . that I do not have t.n. I have r.s.d . I am very confused and posting in here now makes me feel like a fake phony liar. for about the last 6 years I just wanted to help others any way I could.I say the last 6 years because it took me some time to accept my pain and to cohabitate with it and then feel comfortable talking about it and sharing. I have had this since 1999 after an accident with a 18 wheeler semi. my lower jaw snapped on both sides and the nerve on my lower right was dammaged. long story but I back then I was told and honestly thought and believed I had a type of t.n called anesthesia dolorosa as my pain doc and my first neuro doc told me ( theY put the neuro stim in) and wrote in my med files...I still think that .I always thought r.s.d. is lower area legs and arms not just one area on the face. So I am confused and just lurking. In my heart all I ever wanted was to help support others. now I feel like a liar . I am sorry I am confused even tho the new neuro and my oral surgeon tell me I have rsd... I just do not know what to say now or if I believe them. thanks for understanding and forgiving me for possibly posting in the wrong forum...I just do not know??
PEACE
BMW

p.s. I do know my stim works better then any med be it I have R.S.D or T.N. the stim works for me since July of 2002 with no issues .

NO APOLOGY NEEDED! I recognize your name from many posts! You've done a lot of good here. That is what matters!

I can understand your feeling confused by being told you have RSD. But you certainly were not lying if you were speaking the truth as far as you knew. It seems to me that not every illness is clearly one thing or another. Some of us seem to be hard to categorize. But pain is pain and support is wonderful.

So please don't feel bad about anything you have done here. I would still welcome you to post here--or wherever you can get or give help! Whatever you have, I hope you find comfort and help with pain when you need it!

I echo Jean's response BMW. I'm not doing to good with words lately but I identify with her response. Hang in there and stop beating yourself up. Pain does that enough to all of us.

THANKS LADIES.
Face pain is face pain .I am to comfy in here and not ready to take off these shoes and put on another pair. I have helped lots of others and it really dosen't matter what each doc wants to call it . my lower right nerve in jaw is snapped t.n. r.s.d its jsut a name the pain is the same. and I know I can still help and support others. so ya all are stuck with me. at first I was just so surprised by the sudden r.s.d not t.n. and it seemed or I felt like ..oh no your kidding that makes me a liar sayin I have t.n. for all these years. but now I think some docs are just stupid and when they dont know what to call something they say whatever they want.
I love my family here
PEACE

Heart Keep doin what you been doing

Tina, You are the most supportive person I ever met. You were the first person that I met by joining Neurotalk. I had some stupid questions but you were kind enough to guide me through. You have done nothing wrong by not knowing what you were doing. HUH? Anyway, you have been an angel to me and many others. Bless you, Doodle bug7 (Patti)
