Default Newbie looking for info

Hi - I'm on a steep learning curve. My mum has been diagnosed with TN, and I have been reading all I can on the subject. Communities like this are a lifeline to share experiences with similar people, and helps me realise that whilst it's quite rare, there's still alot of people affected.. and hopefully we can draw strength together.

I'm going to be reading as much as I can on the foums here, but if there's anything I really should read, please send me a link, would welcome as much info as possible.

Hi Fewleh, I commend you for coming here and trying to learn all you can for your mums sake. There is a book titled "Striking Back" which is an excellent resource for anyone with this condition. It is sold by the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association(TNA) and you could also check your library for availability as well. Here is a link to their website however the site is undergoing maintenance and I can't link directly to the book: http://www.endthepain.org/ I think someone mentioned that its available on Amazon to, but I'm not positive about that. There is a lot of good, reliable info on their site as well and makes for good reading. There are sticky threads at the top of the forum that also hold a lot of good info. Theres alot of info posted throughout the forum so allow yourself some time to read through the forums. Take care
