I was so happy to be off everything for pain, not even taking Advil. My Baclofen was decreased again 3 days ago and my jaw is hurting again....ugh. Having small twinges in teeth as well. I'm currently 6 weeks post MVD and had hoped each day would get better and better. I resorted to taking 4 Advil about an hour and a half ago and am still waiting for some relief. I'm just so mad right now!!
I'm supposed to be going to a 4th of July party in 10 minutes and I was so excited about it. Now I'm going to have to talk myself into going. Sometimes life is just not fair..... Hoping for some better results come next week. |

I did end up leaving the party early and just relaxed on the couch. Luckily it was at my neighbors house!! I think part of the problem is the last time I decreased my Baclofen I took Advil every three hours and that helped. Today seems to be a little better. Cried myself out for about an hour yesterday and believe it or not that helped too. It's just so hard to be feeling so good and then take a step back. You start to remember all the crappy holidays you had the year before and you just want everything to be perfect after the MVD.
Feeling better today physically and mentally. This site really helps so much. Just being able to vent and not complain to my husband so much. I feel likes it's all we talk about anymore and I hate it!!! |

Anywho, sometimes all you can do is just find somewhere comfortable & try to un-clench yourself. If that includes crying or screaming or just lying on a couch, do what works. One thing that I've found helps to relax not only me, but my mother (who injured her shoulder while working for TSA over 10 years ago) is to have someone use the tips of their fingers in a circular rubbing motion, moving across your back from your neck & shoulders down to the small of your back. Don't apply pressure, just rub lightly in small circles, moving side-to-side or up & down. Hope that will help you & I wish you luck with becoming pain free. |

I will try your tip for sure!
I have found relaxing my shoulders does help as well. I think I'm going to go a little slower with decreasing my Baclofen. My doctor's associate has me stopping it altogether in 10 days. I personally think that's too quick. I will be calling MY doctor tomorrow. Wishing you continued pain free days. |
