Cried myself out for about an hour yesterday and believe it or not that helped too. It's just so hard to be feeling so good and then take a step back. You start to remember all the crappy holidays you had the year before and you just want everything to be perfect after the MVD.

Feeling better today physically and mentally. This site really helps so much. Just being able to vent and not complain to my husband so much. I feel likes it's all we talk about anymore and I hate it!!!
It sucks when you experience an attack like that, especially more so when it happens when you're trying to have fun with others. I know I get angry at both myself & my ear (where I experience my Neuralgia pain) when that happens, sometimes to the point where I feel like ripping the thing off!

Anywho, sometimes all you can do is just find somewhere comfortable & try to un-clench yourself. If that includes crying or screaming or just lying on a couch, do what works.

One thing that I've found helps to relax not only me, but my mother (who injured her shoulder while working for TSA over 10 years ago) is to have someone use the tips of their fingers in a circular rubbing motion, moving across your back from your neck & shoulders down to the small of your back. Don't apply pressure, just rub lightly in small circles, moving side-to-side or up & down. Hope that will help you & I wish you luck with becoming pain free.
