Default Mvd surgery

As I am contemplating MVD surgery I was wondering how to find a VERY qualified surgeon. I have battled the pain long enough and am going to Johns Hopkins for a consult. I am fine if I don't talk or eat. Anyway, what is the process like? I was going to go to Cedars Sinai LA, but was told to go to Dr. Lin at Johns Hopkins. Does anyone know of him? Thanks. First time post.
