I started taking the higher dosage after I saw the initial 5-6 months effects. All I saw was progress and nothing bad happened so I while I didn't know for certain I thought I'd increase as an attempt to improve the symptoms long term more. Which it seems to have done.

Admittedly there is no research long term nor is there any research on higher dosages.
