Default maximum dose of omega 3

At the moment i take 1440mg EPA and 720mg DHA daily.

I want to go up to the highest dose possible. My plan is to double it which is a total of 4400mg omega 3 acids daily. Is that too much?

The information about Tolerable Upper Intake Levels here should help you: http://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/efsajournal/pub/2815.htm

Griffin, you can find quite a lot of information regarding TBI and Omega 3s in medical journals and some of the TBI/PCS org sites. I am sure this has been discussed on TBI forum also. I should check again.

I remember finding recommendations of up to 20 grams of fish or algae oil per day. I did experiment with that and noticed that my joint problems that persisted for years completely disappeared. It was expensive however to stay on that dose so I cut back after that but it's worth trying especially if you suffered a TBI
