Default Vitamins and minerals for wound healing

Hi,

I am Amit from Mumbai,India. I just had a cut on my right foot toe. I am a diabetic. I have put my query in the 'Diabetes forum'. The wound has healed considerably in the last week. Only the skin has not yet come up.

What vitamins to be taken for speedy wound healing ?

I read Vitamin C and A help in collagen formation. Any others that may help ?

Also is topical honey useful for wound healing. I have been using Betadine . But I read this somewhere - so just had a doubt. Does honey help ?

-Amit.
