Default Cream

I have facial nerve pain that came after dental work. It can get VERY bad. I use a compounded cream, made for me at a compounding pharmacy. In the cream is Gabapentin, Capsaicin and Lidocaine. I felt a little nauseas the first few days. It didn't seem to do much perhaps the first week to 10 days. Then, I started noticing improvement! It definitely helps this bad nerve pain and there are NO side effects. I also take a med like Elavil by mouth (tablet).

I also take lots of vitamins, concluding the Bs and extra magnesium.

That compounded cream sounds interesting, I'll give that some thought to talk to my doc. I used a lidoderm patch yesterday and don't think it did much. I manage but never expected this mess. In the last month or so, I get STRONG nerve pain stuff in my middle toe on right foot (hip surgery side)...and it wakes me up at night....not during the day but when sleeping. Have to believe it's all related to the hip surgery. Thanks...

Just about finishing 1 month on the two nerve supps I mentioned in my first posting...I "think" I'm feeling less tingling and burning....so I will head into month 2 and go from there. Everything is still numb, but that may not change much, who knows. I don't know.

Dropping in to say I've gone thru 3 months with Inosine and Sphingolin (2 months on this one) and still using up some Inosine. The burn/tingle is gone. If it returns, I will get on Sphingolin again. At least 80% of my thigh is still very numb. But burn is gone.
