I have 3 gf's with heart issues. Two with afib and one with a long time heart issue which seems to be worsening as we talked today. This friend comes from a family history of heart issues. Her issue is valve and there is discussion going on about heart surgery.....she HOPES to not have to go there.
My other two friends have this info and I sent it to my other friend today. I've been taking COQ10, magnesium and DRibose as Dr. S mentions...don't take the Carnatine and take the 3 for prevention at least. http://www.drsinatra.com/best-heart-...s-to-consider/ Always do your own research and keep work on healing. |

Dr. Sinatra says ubiquoinone is just as good if not better than the higher priced ubiquinol. I take Calif Gold (iherb) ubiquoinone and my friend is changing to this one too. I had been taking 100mg in the mornings and last night took a 100mg closer to bed and I'm feeling more refreshed this morning!!!!! So thinking the COQ10 before bed made a difference. I'll continue this 100mg AM and 100mg PM. This is my friend who deals with the CFS/ME syndrome. Just an FYI on positive changes. C |

I would like to add this link on blood thinners. I just added Bromelain 1000 by Jarrow. Working on getting my fibrinogen reduced and the bromelain can reduce inflammation. I take the Natto, Fish Oil and Vit E already.

Bromelain is a protease.
If taken by mouth it will (in just the same way as any other protein) be broken into its constituent amino acids by digestive enzymes in the gut. Bromelain is a very non-specific protease - it can cleave many proteins. Even in the (very unlikely) event that it can cross the gut wall intact and enter the bloodstream it would cleave any plasma protein (not just fibrinogen) that it encounters, with potentially adverse health effects. Sometimes bromelain is used, applied topically, to treat burns - this is a sensible use of it.

There are many bromelain supplements out there, but ONLY ONE that I know of that is enteric coated.
Enteric coatings remain intact in the stomach (a stomach with acid in it ... not a stomach using acid blocking drugs). http://www.swansonvitamins.com/life-...melain-60-tabs The Jarrow form is a capsule, so I would not expect it to survive in the stomach acid. Also being a protease, the bromelain will act as a digestive aid, and start to break of protein in the food consumed, while it is still in the stomach. I took the life extension form for several months when I was first diagnosed with HAE (hereditary angioedema)...and saw no effect on my arthritis. Bromelain was mentioned to possibly help with GI angioedema, but it did not seem to work for that either for me. As for the CoQ-10... this is very insoluble in water and so now a couple of companies have solubilized it in a soft gel capsule. Qunol and Qgel are their names. Non solubilized CoQ-10 needs 300mg doses to match Qunol which is 100mg per capsule. Back when the first statin was marketed here by Merck called Lovastatin (Mevacor), Merck took out a patent on a combo product including CoQ-10. But they could not solve the solubility problem at that time, so they dropped the product. Instead they kept the CoQ-10 necessity for statin use a secret and so did all the rest of the statin makers. They believed that if they revealed the loss of CoQ-10 synthesis in the liver as side effect and that patients would have to pay big $$ out of pocket for it to protect their own CoQ-10 needs, that no one would use the RX statin. To this day, many doctors still do not know about how CoQ-10 synthesis is blocked by statins because of the fraudulent behavior by Big Pharma.
