Default Vitamin D

I take a women multi which has 800iu of vitamin d but then I also take calcium with vitamin d and that has 400iu and take 2 so that is 1600vitamin d daily is that too much? I just realized that. The calcium is 600 in each of the calcium so that is 1200mg and my vitamin has 450mg elemental in addition. So that is 1650mg. I thought you could get too much d. Is that wrong?

Lightbulb No I don't think

I don't think it is too much. I wouldn't go over 2000IU without a doctor's
supervision.

Things are changing rapidly concerning Vit D. The upper safe limit for healthy
people has been raised to 10,000IU. That does not mean however that everyone should do that.

I take 2000IU daily during the winter, and none during the summer, since I am outside alot then.

I take 8000 iu of Vit D daily as part of a treatment regimen against ALS.
I've had no negative effects.....can't say I've had any positive effects.
