what is sensitization?

I didn't use it that much orally, but I do actually have symptoms of tingling sensations in my arms around my face area etc. I talked to a doctor about it and am already getting an MRI for it. but I am wondering if this ingestion of peppermint oil has anything to do with it, or maybe it's the gabapentin I've been taking. it gets worse under stress as well.

Hi again.

as far as I know sensitization is when a person develops an allergy or allergic response to the oil (or a chemical). mrsD might have a better explanation though.

bruegger, were you taking the oil to help with some sort of stomach problem? If so I wondered if you ever tried ginger. Not oil, just regular ginger.

Hopefully the doctor can shed some light on those symptoms you're getting.

P.S. Thanks for that site, mrsD. That's more like what I was looking for ...
