Question M.D.'s in Los Angeles that treat "pyroluria"?????

Please help if anyone knows of an M.D. who treats pyroluria in L.A. or surrounding cities. I think ONA posted and was from Longbeach???
Thanks so much,
Beth

Hi Beth
I copied your post to it's own thread as it would be lost on that other thread about big pharma companies and supplements

I dont know of LA docs who treat pyroluria but do know that usually patients are given vitB6 and zinc as part of the treatment protocol.
hope you find a good doc....I know people whose health has wonderfully changed after treating pyroluria

You can try here:

http://www.autismwebsite.com/practitioners/us_lc.htm

There are several in Calif. Many DAN doctors also do pyroluria.
You can call the ones on this list and ask. They may be able to refer you if they themselves do not treat it.

I have been researching how to get rid of this for a long time. There is a lot of information in a book called “Depression Free Naturally” by Joan Mathew Larsen. She has a Wellness Center in Minneapolis, MN. I know this does not totally answer your question but hopefully it might help you a bit. Also I found a doctor in Organ that will give you a free 15 min phone conversation. Her name is dr chapman. you can email me for it or you can google it. I tried to put in her website but it wont let me if you have found anything out about this can you please email me.

You might try contact Bill Walsh, PhD who is now training practitioners in the treatment of Pyrroluria. He is the founder of the Pfeiffer Center in Evanston, IL some forty years ago. He retired from there in 2008 to start his own institute, The William Walsh Institute so that he could start training others in the disorder.

You can search on his name and find information from some of his trainings in Australia. There are also videos of him on You Tube.

At one time I found his website but there is not a lot of information there. You might try emailing him. Also try contacting Dietrich Klinghardt, MD in Kirkland, WA, as he trains practitioners as well. He has a website and a Facebook page.

Also has presented to the Lyme in Autism 2009 conference, with a video up on the web you should be able to find it. That presentation has some fabulous information on Pyrroluria, as well as the incidence in Autism and Lyme Disease.

Good Luck,

Janet
