Hi dllfo--

I am sorry I wasn't here when you had this question.

Typically using antibiotics for short term issues don't upset the body that much. Long term use, months, may.

The Septra DS may deplete folic acid over time, and other B vitamins, and a good probiotic or yogurt daily may help.

If you can't use yogurt, you can purchase the probiotics separately. They won't have the milk issues that upset you.
I'd choose the ones kept in the refrigerator at the store as the best types. As a rule yogurt does not upset people to the extent that milk does. Some yogurts are really good...like Stoneyfield ones. They are also high in calcium which would help your RLS symptoms.

I hope you are feeling better now. I've been away. You can see some pictures on my profile album to get a feeling of where I have been the past 5 weeks.

Hi, welcome back. As soon as we get the latest round of Medical problems under control we are going to South Lake Tahoe for a couple of weeks. We need it. No vacation since we returned from the Respiratory Hospital in July 2007.

I take Folic Acid daily and super B vitamins from Walmart. I have a good probiotic but have not taken it yet. As of Friday I will have taken 64,600 mg of antibiotics.

I don't know what to think medically. I finish this segment of the antibiotics on Friday but may have to take them as much as another 60 days.

I keep saying it could always be worse and it could.

Again, welcome back. I hope you had a great time.
