Good Morning! Well, I have hit a plateau I think. My weight has remained the same for 2 weeks despite my best efforts. If I remember correctly, the last time I lost weight it stalled around the 30# mark and that's where I am now. So.....I know it will change but it's so hard not eating exactly what I want and still not losing. Hope everyone else is doing good. Bizi, your menu's sound wonderful!

On a brighter note......the birds have just started chirping and singing. It's not quite light out yet and I'm sitting here in the quiet, coffee in hand, listening to this music. I love this time of the day.

well kitty, I am sorry that your weight loss is at a stall.
keep at it maybe you need to change it up a bit...
are you counting calories?
maybe you could switch to a different diet and see if that changes things up?
I was thinking about now going to the south beach meditararian diet, allow more food types and olive oil!
I have been following a low fat diet and my hubby is getting really bored with our meals...so I need to do something different.
glad that you have your mornings peaceful to yourself.
we had fun last night listening to a band at an out door concert. and then split some greek food. hubby had the gyro sandwich and I had the feta salad and hummus...boy was that good.
my joints are starting to ach so maybe I need to cut back on the weights that I am lifting.
have a great rest of this memorial weekend!

Wow Kitty...30# mark!! So impressive..you must be wearing clothes you haven't seen in awhile.. I am dragging from the back of the closet myself although I quit weighing...even quit Sat. weigh in...it was depressing me.

Good on the exercising Biz and reading your menu always makes me hungry.

Expecting company today so there will be some new and exciting things on the table....

I agree.....my weight fluctuates so much sometimes. I go by how my clothes fit. It seems to be much better than always watching that number on the scale.

We had a bit of exercise today.
hubby and I joined a group of people for a canoe trip thru a cypress tree area....at lake fausse point. We ahd a great time!!!!
We were gone all day and had a wonderful meal on the water.
spicy chicken and wild rice and a wonderful watermelon salad with jalapeno peppers and cilantro....had a healthy cookie...it all tasted so good! it was a leisurely canoe trip but still we were on the water for 4 hours!
I don't think I could have done it had I not been lifting weights for the past 2 months.

Bizi, that sounds like so much fun!

Well, I've discovered a product that I'll be buying alot of. Gorton's Lemon Peppercorn Grilled Tilapia. YUM!! One package, which contains 2 fillets, is $3.99. It's in the frozen fish section. I love Tilapia but don't buy it often because it's so expensive. Each piece of this has only 80 calories, less than 1 gram of carbs and 14 grams of protein! Only 3 grams of fat, too.

If you love fish this is worth trying!

I have that sitting in my freezer...have not tried it yet!
we are going to a memorial day cook out. I made a large salad with greens, tomatoes, celery, brocolli, yellow squash, cucumbers, carrots so I will have something low calorie to eat...fat free zesty italian dressing to top it off.
I am sore today from the canoe trip!

Had left over veggies and salad and stir fry chicken, for dinner went to the gym and lifted weights and walked/ran on the tred mill for 42 minutes, it was a good work out....
watched an episode of lost and drank one beer.

We were pretty good while sil was visiting because she is also dieting. I introduced her to mashed cauliflower and she loved it. I am wearing an OLD Cher t-shirt and it fits! *whisper...now ask me who Cher is!
