Hi Bizi,

I have recently joined the forums after several concussions and started reading this thread because I've gained tons of weight after my injuries and was looking for inspiration. I just want to say, WOW! Congratulations. You are doing awesomely especially since it's very hard when you don't have a lot of support. I admire you a lot. I was so impressed by your description of being in the liquor store and what went through your mind and how you ended up deciding to leave. That was very inspirational. Keep going! Every day is a great success!

I went to bed early yesterday at 6pm, needed to sleep was so tired. slept awful the night before had been up till 2am then awake at 8. not enough sleep for me. Hubby came home from his music gig( sky liners big band music) at 11;15 so got up and took night meds then back to bed and got up at 5;30 this morning, cup of coffee. going to go get the paper in my jammies, hubby hates that oh well, don't care if anyone sees me.
I need to do taxes today..I have procrastinated long enough!
I finished the preliminary part just need to enter all of the data..just do it!
up a few pounds, due to not drinking enough water and being constipated. I did not eat my veggies like I do during the week. Not good had some cabbage slaw yesterday and then pizza for dinner.
Had blood work drawn yesterday. am hoping my total cholesterol has come down. since exercising my ldl should be down and the hdl should be down after not drinking for 64 days.
They will email the results to me in a couple of days.

up early at 6;15, drinking that first cup of coffee. needed to get up early to take a ....
shower....sigh
Went to the gym last night at 8 pm, met with julie.
We did some abs exercises which I find hard, a plank for only 45 seconds is really hard. side crunches using a 10 pound weight. A couple weight machines.
Walked on the tred mill for 5 minutes warm up then walked /jogged at 5 mph for 30 minutes then 10 minutes fast on the arc trainer which is like a stair master/eleptical really sweat then a 5 minute cool down.
So a good work out.
at 930pm I went to the grocery store, hardly anyone there they close at 10pm. so was able to get my groceries and check out in half an hours time. so that was good. Like not having to deal with people /parking during the day.
Hattie is crying this morning to get treats (jeff gives her treats, i tried giving them to her but she continues crying so I give up)so I close the inner door so she won't wake jeff up but she drives me crazy with her incessant crying! It is guttural at times...sigh.
I am on my second cup of coffee and the paper awaits my attention.
Jeff will be up soon.
It has been nice getting up earlier, read on line stuff then read the paper, making a fresh pot of coffee.
day 68 alcohol free, weighed 147 this morning! I weigh 164...just 10 weeks ago, (1-12-15), I could not have done this still drinking!
Have a great day!

Congratulations! You're doing amazing.

I'm afraid of the scale right now so have no idea how I'm doing... Too many things going on and proper cooking isn't one of them. I'm not overeating, but I'm not eating the way I should.

Is Hattie your cat? We had an old Siamese once that I took in as a favour. He had the most awful grumpy meow and it was always the same. The Siamese we had before had a whole vocabulary and was the sweetest cat. He thought he was one of the kids.

Keep up the amazing work,

C

Happy Easter!
Yesterday I spent 2 hours getting food items from various stores for todays meal.
I picked up 2 pounds of shrimp. paul is making seafood jambalya.(think seafood stir fried rice, but cooked in a rice cooker) WE will also bring Corn bread dressing, brocolli/kale cole slaw, brocolli crunch salad which is a bit sweet with raisins hubby can pick them out. It took me driving here and there to finally get everything that I wanted. I had decadent boudain balls for a mid morning snack.shhhh don't tell jeff. OUr secret!
For easter sunday we are going over there at 2 pm, he said it will take the rice dish 2-3 hours to cook. Paul gives up alcohol for lent,(he says it proves to himself that he doesn't have to go to those AA meetings) so easter is a big drinking day for him. It is a good thing that he stays home and only his closest friends will see him, he ALWAYS get trashed.

Easter dinner was good.
There was plenty of food. seafood jambalya, shrimp on the grill, brocolli coleslaw and apple pie...which i had 3 slices of geesh!
IT was a rainy day but we did manage to get a walk in toward the end of the evening before it got dark. Paul was well behaved in his drinking. So was Jeff!
After the walk....
I almost broke my fast of alcohol. when we came home from the walk her husband happened to put out a six pack of ciders(3 actually) and I thought they were for me.
THEY WERE FOR ME!!!!
So I said what the hello it's easter I am going to drink.
Jeff (shouted NO, NO, NO) and reminded me of my 100 day challenge.
And I regained my senses.
Later I thanked my husband for helping me to continue in this 100 day challenge.
I ate a banana instead.
We worked on a jig saw puzzle, my friend is good at them!
She has a job interview for tomorrow, she is very nervous/anxious about it.
I suggested that we have lunch tomorrow she agreed. So I am going over there at 1130. Her interview is at a fabric shop. They are looking for a floor person and a supervisor position.
She is concerned because she has prior commitments playing in the symphony and rehearsals for les miserable in a couple of weeks.
yeah that is also when festival international begins!!!!!
WE love that festival!!!

I am in a 100 day challenge and am at day 73 alcohol free.
When I reach 100 days I will decide then what I will do. 27 days to decide.
Jan 23 rd was my day 1, maybe I will start a new 100 day challenge or maybe I will stop counting days????
Can't seem to give it up for good as I can't imagine not drinking on vacation. IT has been nice losing weight, pretty easily not drinking actually.
