Well I went to my old grocery store and bought a stuffed pork roast. IT has msg and other artificial ingredients in it....but I have used this in the past and saved money making a couple of meals with one roast. I added organic peppers (I could not use the canned green beans though)and coconut milk and used evil cream of mushroom soup. Why must I think it is evil????? I put it in the crock pot and it will cook all day.
I need to un brain wash myself. sigh I swear it is a sickness..... got up early could not get back to sleep after a bathroom break at 5 ;30am. made some coffee. Need to take a shower, have coconut oil in my hair to ensure that happening, that trick works well. Am going with jeff to speak with his retirement folks. He has not had a meeting with them in 10 years, doesn't know how they are performing. The meeting is at 8;30am so I have plenty of time to shower and dress etc. bizi

0830 and you have plenty of time????
i don't even get up before 0800. yes biz. i'm a sliding scale 3 times/day. short acting insulin. at nite i do take lantus. i am seeing an endocrinologist. have an appt next month with his diabetic educator so maybe i can get on track. it's a little harder as i usually don't cook. can't stand that long. my back starts to hurt too. that roast sounds great. enjoy.

wow nancy, you must be a "brittle" diabetic, hard to manage. do you ever have lows? if not then maybe an increase in the lantus?
good luck with a nutritionist. doctors practice medicine..... bizi lol

down to 153, have not seen that in a long time. so am happy about that. made it thru day 2 of AF last night. Am taking a different way home so as to not drive by whole foods to stop for an adult beverage!
Has worked 2 days now!  For dinner last night We had chicken with indian sauce and steamed asparagus, half an avocado and a cup of mangos and pineapple(NON-ORGANIC!) It was healthy and tasty. I love the simmering sauces so easy for a couple of bucks. $5.25 for each meal. Not bad. bizi bizi

Today, I am recovering from over eating last night at whole foods playing trivia. While it was fun and we even won 2nd place I was miserable when i came home. We had eaten a big dinner before leaving. And I ended up ordering chicken wings even though I was still full from dinner.
sigh Today I have a new client this morning. She goes to dialysis three days a week so saturday was appropriate for her. Jeff is playing a gig this morning, we will both be done around 11;30 and go to chris's for our usual chicken/sausage gumbo. I get it with out rice or bread to save on calories and have a side of slaw. It is my hair appointment day at one. Can't decide if I will get my hair high lighted too. It takes more time. They may not be able to do that too. We will have talapia for dinner tonight then it is Jeffs big band "the skyliners" dance tonight. We will have a full table as some of my friends are going to be there. I am bringing a client of mine,(a young 87 year old) picking her up at 6;30. I have not figured out what I am going to wear just yet, not sure if anything will fit. I think I will wear a dress. It is so depressing trying on clothes when I have gained 6 inches in my belly. sigh bizi

154.6 this morning. Hattie weighed 17 pounds even so she has lost at least a pound, which is good. Vet said she should be a 12 pound cat.
So we are both on a diet. Hazel has lost wieght too and she doesn't have any fat on her so we are concerned about that. she hardly seems to eat. We think that hattie is stealing her food. Jeff is giving her fancy feasts wet cat food as treats a few times a week, she doesn't eat much. bizi

hi biz,
i saw my endocrinologist today. all my labs were outstanding...except my A1C. last time it was 8, now 8.2. although my sugars have improved greatly. wt same. he generally was happy. wants me (& so do i) to try and keep sugars as they've been the last month. he thinks i could then get my A1C down to 7.5. that would truly be wonderful. even my lipid panel was all WNL. cholesterol down, triglycerides down. yay me...keep trying.
