Default Saturday Roll Call

I know that it's Saturday and everyone is busy, but if anyone wants to come in and say "hello", I'll be checking back in.

I though this week-end we could talk about,
"Favorite diet-approved snacks and desserts." Does that sound like a good idea? If you have a favorite yummy that you make that is sooooo good but still meets diet criteria, please pass along the recipe or instructions so we can all share.

Right now I'm falling asleep. It's only 8 a.m. but I've been up since 4:00, couldn't sleep. My sleep patterns are all messed up.

LET'S HAVE SOME FUN THIS WEEK-END!!!!

Love,
Nancy

checking in.

yesterday went from ok to yuck. the vaccinations grandmonkey got gave him a bad rash. i was not for him getting these..but it wasn't my choice. i just get the sick grumpy itchy kid.

i did good on the eating. lots of water and snacked on veggies and some roasted unsalted pumpkin seeds.

unfortunalty...it's mcdonalds some time today. grandmonkey deserves a treat. kept his room clean all week. oh...did you know that you can get the apple slices even on the value meals? yum. so it really isn't too bad. grilled chicken...no mayo.

hi nancy. hope you get some rest. i didn't do to hot in that department last night either. took my melatonin. read. fell asleep and woke up 2 hours later in awful pain. been up since.

i love the recipe sharing.

oh...how about a product review thread? if you find a healthy packaged food...tell us about it. the good, the bad, the ugly.

Hi Nancy and Curious! I hope all 3 of us can get some rest today. I also did not sleep well last night.

Nancy, thank you for starting the thread today. And yes, receipi sharing is a great idea.

Curious, I know you must be proud of grandmokey to have cleaned his room. Enjoy the McDonalds with him.

We are having a severe heat advisory today so I plan to stay inside all day.

Hello all, well summer is coming to an end here and it is time to get down and dirty with this. Ok by down and dirty I mean get into those veggie gardens and eat healthy ha ha

My sister and her 2 daughters started on the Jenny Craig program and are having great results with it. The one thing I can see is that it teaches portion control. I think I am going to try to portion out some sort of snacks and put them in baggies so that I can give it a try. Can't afford Jenny right now anyway. Does anyone have any ideas about what kinds of snacks could be portioned out? I can see pretzels, or carrots but anything else?

It has been so hot and muggy the last few weeks I have not been very active but hopefully this will be the last few weeks of the heat. Lets hope huh Nancy.

So I will try to come up with some ideas and check back later...Sue

Lump me in with our other non-sleepers.

Thurs nite went to sleep Fri 7:30am MDT, slept 3hrs. Napped for 2-1/2 hrs in afternoon which always mess up bedtime. Went to sleep Fri nite 5:30am MDT. Up Sat at 10:30am.

I too have so much pain and nothing to give me relief, not even sleep.
