Hi all, still struggling to wear appropriate attire for this sunny, warm place. Busy day today, but really good. Tomorrow, I'll pay.

How are you, dear Judy? I'm glad you had the van checked out, those little fender benders can sometimes do a number on the poor thing.

Yes, Twippy, my boy is doing great with his scouting, his mom is going to lead the metal working shop/course some time next month. He is now at Star... next is Life... and then! Taaa Daaaaaaaaaa! Eagle!! We're pretty excited for him, we just hope that the high school mania doesn't shift his focus. I think he'll do it in spades.

DM, yer a dingbat.

who's twippy? and who's the eagle scout?
this is MY thread and i demand respect! *judy slinking back behind DM*

weight stable this am
and i already walked.

i may have to stay close to home and sleep more.
i've been in so much pain by the time i go to sleep that i can't sleep.
last nite my legs were twitching for an hr. i hurt so back i could hardly turn over in bed, even with my siderail. and i couldn't sleep because i couldn't find any position without pain. plus i took my ultram.

my dr is going to get an earful today. i'm holding nothing back. i should have made the appt for 1500 so he could see how bad i am in the afternoon. my appt is soon, 1130.

tomorrow is my massage. then i must come home to sleep.
i'll check in later and tell you about my appt.

Judy, let the doc have it because you need relief now. I'll be looking forward to your update from the appointment.

About my sugar. I don't know why he is concerned about it either and I even told him that. The highest fasting was only 113. Seems he's more concerned than necessary. I am hypoglycemic so maybe he's trying to figure out why they are higher as I am getting older? I used to go as low as 60 while fasting and have been known to bottom out at 40. Oh well, it's still normal so I am not concerned.

Talk to you later!

thought i'd give the update now as i'm so tired and going to take a nap.
good news....i guess.

my exam is the same. no worse. in fact, a bit better than my last neuro exam.
really he's very nice. he listens and validates.
he knew what i was telling him was the truth.

however, the so so frustrating part is that he can't account for any of it. except that it's probably the MS. so he doesn't know what the visual disturbance is about. fatigue-ability and sometimes BS. same as i thought. what to do? nothing. rest and watch my sugars.

the pain? i'm on so much stuff that could be helping but it isn't. like lyrica and even the trazodone. the baclofen and zanaflex didn't help. i'm going to try going up on the trazodone since i'm already taking it before we start with any new meds. i'm on so much stuff already...phooey. it might even help me sleep better. i'm going to have to take my ultram prophylactically instead of taking it when i hurt.

i'm going to schedule a brain/c-spine mri with & without contrast in march before my aetna insurance runs out and my medicare kicks in. we'll check for the C4 herniation but i just don't think that's causing my problems.

then, i'm going to do a new round of PT; for my hands and my legs. that should put me in bed 2 days/wk for sure. my hands are really feeling tight and they hurt. can't have any difficulty putting on my jewlery now!!!

also, the dr said to give the methotrexate a year. and i was thinking 3 mos but he said longer.

so that's the lowdown. hopefully a little tweaking will help.
i just need to include my bed as my new best friend. and here i thought i might meet the man of my dreams...

Judy

Hoping things start to look up. Sounds like you need a break.

Wishing I had some more answers for you. My pain is back
the last couple days, but mine is connected to the cold that
has come through.

My fibromyalgia doctor will not like it when I return in two weeks
and relate that the cold brought the pain back in full force.

I was just there and saying how good I felt.

Donna

Judy, I hope tweaking your meds will help with your pain. Have you ever considered the baclofen pump or methadone for pain? Jim refused the pump but agreed to try methadone. It works really well for him. It's been almost four years and he hasn't needed to tweak or up his dose. He takes 20mgs twice a day. He stays at about a 5 in pain. It's the best they can do unless he wants to turn to morphine which he says heck no to.

PT helps and we do that here at home. It really works for his legs. For his hands we used playdoh and hand strengthening bands. I'll say a prayer that the tweaking does the trick for you!

Hey Judy, good to know that you're no worse, even though you feel no better. It's tough to know what the right choices are, but we sure to have to keep making them.

Get some rest and hang in there.

Glad you are no worst Judy. Hope tweaking those drugs work.

Hey, DM, come here...let me tweak your little nose.

Who is Twippy?

Thanks for the update on the young scout Nappy. Sounds like he is on a good track. If he falls off, just smack him on his little head!
