Annelee, you post on any thread you like and some of us get on here a lot of times a day. Ha, this is my social group and such nice friends. Billie is my most wonderfriend from meeting on here another forum a few yrs ago. We call each other Sis sometimes.
I can't exercise at all at this point, so weight loss has to be done with food only.
I have a book with sit down exercises in it...is this what you are talking about for special exercises?
I have a hefty around 80 lbs to lose getting from 233 to 200 would be heaven at this point.

Billie, PM visit was a total flop! He wants to do shots only...of course more money that way. My Rheumy visit in May is my only hope. Pain doc on BTwas right I need to change PM doc. Any doc that wants the nurses to be the ones you talk to, is not a what my insurance and medicare is paying for.
Sorry you are feeling sick Sis. I got lots of chest pain but not sick today.
OH my ...will we make it?

I understand completely. I wasn't trying to preach.
Can you move your arms up and down? Any circulation helps. Can you grip with your hands?

I have to say that I was feeling a bit out of sorts and lonely since coming here from that other place. But you ladies in this thread are so welcoming. It means to much.

Any encouragement and info I can provide, I will glady do it for you.

It's me again. I missed the part about the book. Yes, that is what I meant.

I even have a MS yoga book. (I have yet to attempt it myself) But it does have stretches for people with mobility issues.

Thank you for sharing..

this is the beginning of our weather change- been clear & cold {20*s at nite only though} all week.
some clouds are moving in but weather forecasters are dancing around the snow possibilities. It is hard to predict for sure here because of the Pacific ocean influences.

no weight loss
I did do major cleaning and rearranging of my dining/office room- so got some exercise from that.
washed the windows outside - the sun was showing the dirt very nicely

Oh no-no Annelee...in no way are you trying to preach. LOL I have a hard time saying what I mean due to post concussion syndrome or shorter version...mild brain damage. Ha, I get all confused and can't spell half the time either. Lots of dumb stuff. I sure miss my brain, as small and under educated as it was... it was mine and it worked better than it does now. Oh well, I'm still alive and can think...only I think kinda funny.

I can use my hands but due to arthritis and surgery in rt thumb...not so good. Also can only lift arms very little for exercise.I am a cervie and a lumbie so my stuff is head to toe. Have had C-spine surgery that kept me from being in a wheelchair wearing diapers and someone feeding me. Might say I am blessed to be walking today. Well actually I can hardly take the sweet doggie "Zoe" outside for a potty break. I use a mobility scooter for any real dog walking or shopping etc. Do have lots of pain issues from what appears to be "myofacial pain syndrome" not fibromyalgia though, unless I have both. Going to get Rheumy check in May. Have nerve damage from C-spine being pinched for far too long. Myelopathy and neuropathy. OH gee, now doesn't that all sound exciting for an "ole lady". LOL

Frogger,

I am so impressed with your positive attitude.

You have gone and go through so much everyday.

God bless you!

I understand the brain thing all to well. Can't type with a hill of beans. often my thoughts come out so garbled somedays. I often think..."did that make sense?" So I really know what you mean. (I could never be a politcian! )

Thumbs up Girls here is my exercise for the day.

THIS IS GREAT:
Begin by standing on a comfortable surface,
Where you have plenty of room at each side.

With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand,
Extend your arms straight out from your sides
And hold them there as long as you can.
Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.

Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a
bit longer. After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato sacks.
Then try 50-lb. Potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where
you can lift a 100-lb potato sack in each hand and hold your arms
straight for more than a full minute. (I'm at this level)

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of
the sacks.
Billie

OK Billie, you had me going there for a minute. I am thinking I can't even hold my coffee cup or glass of water in my rt hand and you want me to lift potatoes! Hee, hee, the sack I could lift! Laughter more laughter...that is what we all need!
