Default Oatmeal

Ok..I hate to admit this but what the hay....I have never cooked it...I always have it in the house because I make suet for the birds with it..it isn't on this first two weeks of the diet (day 5 btw) but I think that down the road, it's permitted. Why do I think it's nasty stuff? And curious I hate raisins so don't tell me to put those in it.

I assume the instructions are on the box....I don't like grits either!

you don't make oatmeal cookies either?

a little cinnamon...?

i buy the rolled oats. i don't like the muchiness of quick cooked. plus..my trick...i lightly toast the oatmeal in a dry pan. it makes it nutty flavored.

did i ever tell you about lil'monkey and her raisin bran cereal? hehehe

she was 2. sitting in her high chair. i was out of cheerios. so i gave her raisin bran. she screamed....BUGS!!!!!!!! and tossed the bowl in the air. it splattered me and the whole kitchen. my family calls raisins bugs now.

Bugs! Of course I've made oatmeal cookies when the kids were young..I just never cooked oatmeal as a cereal.

I was a good girl at lunch today...had a big salad with grilled chicken strips and cherry tomatoes...watched the Pastor eat twice baked potatos...~sigh

Dinner tonight is a marinated chicken breast and stir fried veggies. Am I thin yet?

In my case I usually have instant oatmeal packets and I use one of those.
There are the nutritional thingies on the box. And if I have extra calories
that I can have or am having a really bad day at night I treat myself to
a extra bowl. Right now this is something that taste good to me.

I use granola in mine, Its the natural kind from the natural section but it stretches at least twice as much as its supposed too. so the amount of
calories should be wrong. But I don't care.

I had a treat for lunch 2 bread sticks with cheese in them. And I've had
3 glasses of Grape juice.

My snack this morning was 100 calorie peanut butter granola

Afternoon, banana, milk

Supper Chicken & dumpling soup
hot tea

3 glasses of water today.

In case I don't get back, I'll have at least 2 more glasses of tea, and probably
a glass of hot chocolate. My asthma is bad tonight.
