Not good today at all. Too many social functions

Breakfast: Eggs benedict, nly ate the egg and the ham, no bread. Little cup of fruit.

Went to the movies: Buttered popcorn, I held me back from the rasinets. Diet Soda

Dinner: Lean steak and veggies.

Tomorrow I'll start over again.

Ok time to resurrect this thread....and my journey to good health.

Hoping by resurrecting this hard core thread it will help me to get back on the right road.

I have been bad the last couple of months eating the wrong things and lots of junk!

I have only gained marginally but have felt unhealthy and fat.

My problem...lack of discipline and lack of respect for myself. Its time to change that and start putting myself first at least when it comes to health.

So time to change my habits starting today!

I worked out this morning for an hour and have started working with a trainer twice a week. Then walked the farmers market for some sunshine and Vit D.

At PT I can use the equipment like the bike and the elliptical and I plan to atleast do it 10 minutes prior to each session.

And I need to drink more water and take my cinnamon. Why is drinking water so hard. Well it has no taste and I need taste so I picked up various low cal things to put in it. Water is free at work...they have a filtered machine. So why do I need to buy bottled water so I bought 16 oz plastic cups at the store today and it is my goal to have atleast 3 a day among other drinks. And maybe save some $$ from buying bottled water.

I might go back to my food program where they deliver the food fresh everyday. Last time I lost 30 lbs on that. If I do that atleast 3 times per week and try to eat healthy the remainder of the week I might do ok.

My goal...10 lbs by October and hopefully better test results at the doc even though they were not that bad the last visit. But my cholesterol and trigs need to go lower.

So who is with me. Who wants to go hardcorewith me? Someone please? This won't be for the faint of heart.

Ok I am off to have 5 almonds and low fat string cheese stick. Planned brown rice and small piece of chicken for dinner.

Reading an interesting rticle that says for optimum weight loss that you should not eat carbs after 3P.

I am guessing they mean fruit but vegetables are still crabs. But it was saying eat all the fruit you want before 3P but none after.

I may try to addthis piece of advice into my regimen.

yesterday a bowl of cut up fresh fruit. skin on except for the cantalope and honeydew.

lots of water all day. 2 sips of hubby's diet coke..blech. he took the kids to mcdonalds.

dinner: a healthy spinach chicken casserole type of thing and a salad.

lil'monkey and i made oatmeal cookies. these are low fat. i use egg whites and substitute applesauce and mashed bananas for most for the fat. full of raisins, craisins and walmuts. use rolled oats. i did eat 3. we make them small. with a melon baller.

i hd a migraine yesterday that got as the night went on. by midnight i was sick to my stomach. there went the night time food.

11am. so far today. 1 cup of low fat vanilla yogurt. 1 mug of black coffee. i soooo wanted the cream, but didn't want the fat.

all my supplements are measured out for the day. in my special little bowl.

not sure on what exercise i will get today. i got miles and miles of walking this weekend. plus i did my bean.

yep. don't eat fruit after dinner.

the sugars are for energy. if you dont use them, you store them.

my stomach and head are bit off today. yeah yeah...no different than normal i know.

plenty of water today. not hungry. i skipped lunch. i am going to make a small protien shake.

i put in a yoga dvd and did that. up and down the stairs a bunch. seems like everything i need is in the fridge or freezer in the garage. extra exercise.

shelley, have you ever taken any digestive enzymes? i never have, but i am self diagnosing that i am not digesting my food fast enough. i do know my iron is low.

Turkey burger no bun with carrots and five small pieces of fruit.

Snack: Low fat string cheese tick and 5 almonds

Dinner will be a vanilla egg white only protein shake with rice milk.

I have tried digestive enzymes and after a while it was like I had pancreatitis

Try some natural digestive things....pineapple and papaya are what is used in digestive enzymes, so I am incuding a couple pieces of either in my breakfast and lunch. Not too much though

And remember depending on what part of your menstrual cycle you are in your body hangs onto food for the "baby". So if you are in the middle close to ovulating your progesterone is up and and it slows digestion for absorption of nutrients.
