Naturally, I wanted a Honda but after doing my research it was obvious that the best choice is the Toyota. Honda has been kind of winging it in the conversion department and has gone through a lot of bad trial and error for the past two years. They are trying to go with VMI and the equipment is inferior to the Braun in several areas, particularly the warranty, forcing owners to assume the cost of attempted repairs for design flaws.

Further, Honda with VMI has gone through 13 different electronic controllers (the main computer that synchronizes the vehicle and the ramp system) in just two years. They have literally bought back over a dozen vans because of irreparable failures.

My decision for the Toyota is based on a long, successful track record that is backed by significant user/owner testimony. The dealer I'm working with is very reputable and I have a good history with them in other areas. They have dealt with other suppliers but have lately become a Braun-exclusive ramp dealer. The company is owned by a very nice man who has been in this business his entire career. I'm very comfortable with my decision. Now I just have to get comfortable with parting with all that $$!

What didja do with Miss Elly? I thought you were going to sell her.

Those darn vehicles cost almost as much, if not more than a downpayment on a house. It explains why Jim and I don't get out much.

Hey Judy, sorry you didn't get out. Hopefully your friend will feel better soon. It's best since you just finished treatments. You don't want to get sick before your trip.

Have a good weekend. Did I tell you lately how much I look up to you Judy?

Hello Judy dear!

It's dreary looking out today supposed to be blustery! I despise that word. It's an ''in'' day for me today too. The weather change is being mean to my body, but it's not anything new to me.

Sorry about your not being able to get together w/Lenore, but Sandy's right about not being around people who have a bug.

Your trip is way too important for you.

Nevah say NEVAH about wondering where and when AMN may show up. She's as unpredictable as my BM's. hahahahaha I made a funny!

Have a good wkend Judy~wudy and everyone else.

cindy, thanks for that info. it's pretty much what i discovered when i was looking for the car.
are you buying new?
i bet it's a dream to drive. what color?
i'm sooo excited for you.

and i'm sorry you're in pain.
i never like when my friends are hurting.

stay warm DM.
i took a 3 hr nap this am and i'm still tired.
i changed my pickup time to the airport from 0700 to 0630.
it's a 1000 take-off but i should be ready to board at 0930 and i won't get to the airport til at least 0730 (rush hour). which all means that i'll have to get up about 0500.

but at least i won't be rushed since i move so slowly. and i'd like to find something to eat in the airport and a cup of coffee.
i'm zeroing on what i'm taking. we'll see how it works out when i actually try to pack my 1 bag.

i'm still walking. having the dreadmill in my apt is the greatest thing i ever did.

Rest assured, Kell, you were never in peril!

Yes, Miss Elly will be sold, she wants to go through probate first because the little curmudgeon never signed her over.

Well, darn............we could have had such fun!! I can manage to get myself into quite a bit of trouble without too much effort! Plus.....I could probably have arranged for a "get out of jail free" card...if you know what I mean!!

Hi Judy,

I have a dreadmill, too, and love it. Do you walk everyday? I try to....even if it's just 15 or 20 minutes. I go slow......between 2.5 and 3.0 but I read that it's just as good for you as power walking if you do it consistently. Slow and steady. I'm trying to get up to 30 minutes or more but my legs just get to jelloey.....I watch The Price Is Right while I'm walking to keep me entertained and keep my mind off the fact that I'm exercising!!

i do 8 min's of slow walking.
i put a star sticker on my calendar for each day that i walk.
it's kind of a reward and reminds me if i've forgotten that day.

for me the key was to find something that was reasonable AND doable.
and the goal for me was to walk everyday.
