go away and bother someone else! sorry cin. i sure wish the meds would help you.

DM. good luck to your son. i guess the med isn't working?
and have fun with you friends. sounds like a good time.

i went out today. the winds are fierce today. up to 40 MPH. ran some errands, kept appt and came home. i'm going to take a nap now. it's 1530 and my tailbone is killing me. has been hurting since am and usually i get a break til the afternoon. maybe laying down for a bit will help.

Hey, Judy, glad you're able to stay off that bootie. Keep up the good fight, stay the course, moss and rolling rocks and all that jazz.

Doing a bit better today, thanks. I actually got dressed and went on an errand. Pooped me right out.

I'm finished with the megadoses and my mind is coming back a little bit— enough to notice how much I have not done since I went on my little detour to Haight/Ashbury.

I'm still puffy, too fat or sexy for my jeans, so, I'm in hot pursuit of a leaner, meaner AMN. I think I need to level out nearly 10 lbs! That's a record for me and I'm really bummed about it. I hope it's just that I'm still bloated by the roids.

For the record, I AM THE QUEEEEEEEEENNNNNN!!!!!!!

we know darling, smooches
you know that the weight must be roid related. i know you'll keep on track but don't beat yourself up about it.

i'm glad you got out just a bit. it must have made you feel in the land of the living.

take care

DM. how are you? isn't your son's appt tomorrow?
let us know how it goes.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been on but I started tearing up the bathroom and ended up taking out walls! I had tile on them and the tile won the fight. Anyway, the drywall is hung and pasted and ready for sanding and then more sanding. I love this stuff and believe it or not, learning is good for the soul and pocketbook. lol

Cindy, I agree that the weight is probably the result of the roids. It should come off once they get out of your system. I remember Jim's neck looking like Hulk Hogan when he took roids!

Judy, hope the massage feels good today! Jim has his PT appointment today. I'll update about that when we get home.

DM, please let us know how your son's appointment goes.

Sox, how's the week off with the kids going?

Sarah, how are you today?

DM...how did your ds's appt go?
any answers?

sandy... wasn't jim being evaluated for something?

my massage was today. it went well. my gluts and hips were bad. a result of my abnormal gait i'm sure. i came home and took a nice nap and feel better.

tomorrow i'm off to the grocery store. i hate going on the wk/e's.

one of my friends is going in for neck (disc) surgery next wk. she should be fine but it's a concern. i havn't spoken to lenora. i hope she's ok. i've called a couple of times but she's not returning my calls which isn't like her. i'll try again this wk/e.

otherwise hope you're all ok.

Hi, we're home finally! Judy, Jim was being evaluated for his chair cushion to see if it was causing his pain. Turns out the chair is the right size and the cushion registered in the excellent range. The PT told me I had the cushion too pumped up and I told him if I don't pump it up Jim hurts worse. Then he placed Jim on the seat computer thingamabob and it registered fine. Of course I smiled ever so sweetly and said "Guess that cushion is pumped up just right." lol

The bumm sores are minor and he said to keep alternating pressure and to use the standing machine more often. He said that is the best plan of action right now for Jim and for me to keep stretching and massaging him.

Sp he ordered Jim two leg spreaders. One for in the bed and one for in his wheelchair. I'll attach a pic below. He's also going to get evaluated for a foot brace or special shoe from prosthetics. His left foot does not lay flat to the floor and he thinks that could be placing stress on Jim's knees along with his knees squeezing together.

Here's what the leg spreaders look like:

For use in wheelchair:

For use in bed:

Hey, ya'll, doing a bit better here, I'm settling into the new combo of Zanaflex & Baclafen and I think it's going to work once I get the doses and timing figured out. Geez, this disease is a never-ending adventure.

Still too sexy for my jeans, but they're getting a little looser. Me no likum muffin top!
