Sorry about the hot flashes Judy.

Jim got his new anckle wrap and it's too big. I hate when they measure you and it still doesn't fit. It's a soft brace but it doesn't even fit in the special shoe they sent. Arghh. We have Jim's annual appointment tomorrow and we'll address the situation then. His power chair also went kaput. It's deader than a doorknob.

But I haven't gained any weight!

Hey troops!! Well Judy dear~ Cathy will soon be here and you'll have the best medicine available while your'e up to your escapades and antics. Laughter and good company is really the best meds. I am going to NC this wk to see my DD and other family members, so am totally psyched about that; I need this trip so much.

I started PT last wk and I'm so sore; sure hope they can get my muscles more relaxed before I leave. I go again tomorrow and then have to wait until I get back.
My DS and I are also battling nasty sinus infections and that too, needs to clear up before I fly. My HAID could explode and then there would be mass amts of brain everywhere.

Bummer about Jim's chair and foot wrap Sandy!! Geesh, it never rains, but it pours. Hope you can get both taken care of sooooon.

Sox~ hope your'e family is doing ok after what you've all been through. I think your guardian angel was flying w/you the other day.

Oh and AMN??? Just for good measure~ I saw this and it reminded me of you the other day before your scope.

Um, duh, why do you think I stuffed you into the toilet?

I'm okay, dear Judy! I've been sleeping a lot lately and I can't help but wonder if it's due to the anesthesia. It's going to be cold and yuck tomorrow so I'll probably take another day to stay in and rest.

There is another delay in the clearance process for the apartment so I'm still in limbo on that end. It's okay, all in good time.

I just heard that Sox was in a wreck! Feel better soon, Tracey, and I'm glad you're okay!

Sandy, stick to Jim's guns on the bootie braces, if they're not right, they're no good!

i survived the injections. he did 3 instead of 4. all on my left side.
this time he just gave me the 100mcg's of fentanyl all at once. i sounded surprised because last time it was in 2 doses. the 2nd after i started to get a back spasm. he said "why not? you're going to need it anyway".

my left leg and up to my butt was real numb but i was able to walk up to my apt. tomorrow i'm in. not supposed to drive anyway. gosh, i hope this works.
will have to watch my sugars closely and if i put on any wt i won't be upset as this can happen with steroids.

maybe i'll be all fixed and spiffy when cathy comes. 7 days

Hi troops! Yesterday was a long long day but all is well on the health front for Jim. His ua was cleaner this time than last time. We're convinced more now than ever that he's colonized. I made sure I took a clean catch this time in the office rather than from home. His blood work, kidney ultrasound and ekg passed.

His chair is kaput and at the hospital having surgery until Monday. We're also doing a tuneup while it's there, new tires, lube, stuff like that. Thanks goodness we didn't sell the backup on Ebay! Whew! Judy, the va fixes it for Jim as long as we can get in there. If not, they let us take it to a nearby place. Wish I could find someone who does house calls. lol

The ankle brace is fine. It does bunch up but the Orthotics tech said she really doesn't think it's going to do anything physically for Jim at this point. The back of the heal is so stiff that unless he does some sort of surgery it is what it is. She adjusted the soft brace and Jim said it felt good. She said even if it's not helping his ankle, if it feels good on him than wear it. She mentioned the ms thing and how people with ms feel different than we do and he may be feeling good from the pressure applied to the foot and ankle. So, we're going to keep it. We can order a size smaller if we want.

Monday is Jim's dental appointment. I am so excited for him I could burst a seam in my jeans! lol

The boys will be here this weekend and we'll have dinner Saturday since Chris is going to a Cubs game on Sunday. I ordered a Honey Baked ham dinner to be delivered Friday. Yummy! Anyone like to join us?

OH OH! Jim lost another ten pounds!!!! He's down to 187. The dietitian came in and told him 175 was his ideal weight. What a buzz killer eh? I told Jim not to listen to her right now and focus on the weight he just lost! He said he's happy where he is. He weighed about 2 years ago 223 and has lost 36 so far! Whoohoo! That means he is almost at the same weight he was in the Army.

DM, have fun in NC!

Cindy, yeah, did you change your mind and are going to NC anyway?

Judy, glad your appointment went well. Kudo's on the weight staying stable!

Sox, how are you feeling?

Hey, all, still feeling weaker than usual, can the anesthesia still be messing with me almost a week out?

Sandy, I agree, some of the darnedest things and/or positions make me more comfortable. If it works for Jim, amen! Bummer about the chair, but at least you have reliable service available, that can be the hardest nut to crack.

Judy, I haven't even ventured an attempt on the skinny clothes lately, it was getting me down so I'm just sticking with the fat ones for now. They're a little baggie but I'm no fashion plate and I really don't care!

I took my computer in on a little fixit for a bad batch of plastic and accidentally bought an iPod Touch. It's really cool, I don't honestly need it and I'm having a tad of buyer's remorse. I expect a full recovery.

Ugh, this apartment thing. They agreed to do the ADA toilet at their own expense and we are still jumping through approval hoops at this point. I can't help but wonder if this is God telling me to cool my jets and stay put for now. I really don't know what to do, I'm just trying to be still and know He am God.
