Jim's xrays are fine and now we're deciding what mysterious med we'll try next. LOL Stay tuned! His spinal cord doctor and neuro plan to be in attendance at his next appointment in June to brainstorm. The films did show osteopenia but that's typical of many spinal cord patients.

Cindy, you'd be surprised what's out there for people to drive. I once saw a vet drive up and get out of his car with no legs and no arms. He was driving with a straw thing! Of course I just had to ask how. He said he puffed an "x' amount of times to accelerate and brake. He even had codes for gear shifting, turn lights, everything that controlled the car. It took him about a year to learn and he had to pass very rigorous training and testing but he's driving! His mind was intact and I was in awe to meet him. His disability didn't didn't stop him. Not sure if I could be so strong and brave to try to drive like that.

About the seats. That's where we are now. No one drives with us as it is because once we pack the house to go anywhere there isn't room so taking out the seats will only affect the dog. LOL

Sox, how are you feeling today?

DM, have fun on your camping trip.

Judy, how's your day going? We just saw a baby hummie on our porch.

Wink

I hope I'm not just imagining it, but I think my muffin top is getting closer to that of a mini muffin. I wore my skinny girl shorts yesterday and managed to breathe the whole time. It's very encouraging in spite of the fact that it should have been the case right away.

Have a great holiday weekend, everyone!

Hi everyone! We had some youngin's over yesterday and they reminded us how much we miss our youth. LOL It was good and fun but we sure couldn't do that everyday like we used to!

No big plans for the Memorial weekend. Our 24th anniversary is Monday so we'll do our best to make it memorable!

My muffin roll is still there and I am still sucking it in. Maybe the muscles will tighten up and do it without effort soon.

Have a great weekend everyone!

hello troops,

i've been keeping myself very busy this wk/e.
changing my bed, laundry, folding, vacuuming etc.
i even made a banana bread recipe and put it in the freezer.

i retook my puls ox study last nite and hope the oxygen is helping somewhat.
guess i'll know sometime this wk.

my legs have been killing me. my muscles are just so tight. i've been trying not to sit too much, doing exercises and stretching. that helps. my massage this past wk didn't seem to do anything.

well, hope your holiday wk/e is fun for you and gives you a big rest.

Judy, Jim's legs have been a nightmare the last few days too. We have rain coming so no surprise. You guys could tell the weather better than any weather person! LOL

We're invited to a bbq tomorrow with our high school friend Jim and his cousin. I am bringing the pasta salad and regular salad. I told them it's coming from the store because they just told me about it. I need more time for homemade. Oh well, it will be fun no matter what.

Hope you all have a good holiday.

saw my oncologist today.
got answers to what is going on with my breast.
it's lymphedema. it's moderate. in my breast and arm. the left side.
so, i have to look for an arm ted hose. to compress my arm and try to get the fluid absorbed. he said it's from having just those 2 lymph nodes removed during the surgery.

i also need PT. they can do something to help with exercises. hey! my favorite thing so, i'll be working on those things the rest of the wk.

otherwise i'm ok. pain driving me nuts. but it's 1600 and that's usually when i start to feel uncomfortable. going to bed for a nap soon.
