Default Sunday Roll Call

Hi Gang~
Get back in the game! What do think this is.....a vacation?????

Sorry I haven't been around, I've been camping out at Mayo, and will be till the end of the year. I'm now part owner.

I'm unable to read every day cuz I can't bring my laptop with me to Rochester, but when I can I follow you guys. I don't post much, sorry, I'll try to do better.

We need to be each others' cheerleaders. Together we're strong. We can do anything together guys, remember that!!! We are F A M I L Y--(you are SO lucky you didn't hear me SING that!!)

Keep on keeping on with the "D" & "E" days!
Hugs,
LS

Default "How much is that doggie in the picture?"

...sure is a cute old dog - HA! Welcome back you crazy woman!!! You know, my brother was at Mayo the other day and he said he say all these poor people leaving the Neurology Wing. And then it hit me, "today must be the day Jan has her appointment!" What did you DO to those folks, lil' sis? Just Kidding - I am so happy to have you back and if you can't be around every day, that's ok. Because we sure are glad that we are not in your shoes!!!

GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE - hope that you can stop for a second a tell us how your day is going. I did some excercise. It's really tricky when you have to be careful not to use your feet at all. So I'm doing arms and waist twists and some other things hanging onto furniture, etc. I also have my chair excercise tape but if my husband is not home, I don't know how to work our player. I guess any excercise if better than none especially if you've just consumed a lovely banana nut muffin.

Tomorrow morning must travel to see my pain doc so I won't be checking in under mid-afternoon my time - PST. If anyone has some good arm excercises, let me know, 'kay?

~Later,
Nancy

Dear Nancy,
I have found a really good arm excercise. Using a 5 pound weight or what ever weight you might have...hold it above your head if you are able clasp together your hands around the weight. then sqweese your ears so you steady your elbows and let the weight slowly lower the weight behind your head. this exercises the tricepts I think the area behind/under your arm that usually wiggles. This has helped me to start toning this area.
Let me know if that is confusing ...maybe curious can explain it better....
(((HUGS))) for Janster!!!!!!!!
I hope you are well soon!

Cool Jan, what a wonderful surprise you see you post~

Hey Jan,
I have missed so you such. What in the world are they doing to you that takes so long? You must be getting an overhaul! I have to go to the Dr. tomorrow to a long ways off. It's te post op visit I was suppose to do last week.

I am putting up Christmas decorations, because I had to remove them from the farm house, so rather than forget where they are stored, They are going up. I give my big tree away. I am going for a four foot tree in this town house. I have never put things up this earily before, but Bear really likes the lights from a smaller tree, so he is in that room now.

I wish more people would post even if you don't want to talk about your weight. I hope they don't weigh me tomorrow. My tummy button is really weird looking. Maybe its suppose to be. All the other places didn't leave the scar this does.

Well I got another letter to write so I better get started. People if you got time to read, please post a few lines.
Hugs, BC

Hi everyone,

Jan, I like your artwork. I've been playing around today with trying to learn how to do a sidebar on a webpage with no luck.

I was bad today and had pizza for breakfast. It has been raining hard on and off all day today and I wanted something substantial to eat and some pepsi. Ordering a pizza for delivery seemed to be the only way. I am scared of driving in heavy rain.

Bizi, are you feeling better today?

Hi everyone, How is it going for all of my buddies. We went to check out the Red Rock Station Casino tonight. To me if you have seen one casino you have seen them all. It was so much like all the other station casinos here in town but son had a date at a movie theater in that area so we went to see what it was all about. Had a hamburger and fries and it was really good but I had lots of fruit yesterday and ate only healthy foods all weekend other than the hamburger.

Hey Jan good to see ya here again. we have missed you. I hope you are getting all your medical stuff taken care of. Was that you I saw on the news having wheelchair races like I heard some other wild child around here did?

Billie, did you ever get keloids on your scars? They are raised bumps and unfortunately I got them with every surgery. When I had my tubes tied they went through my belly button and now I have a keloid there. Not that too many see my belly button though The only one that bothers me is the one on my neck but I consider it a badge of courage.

Hi Nancy, welcome back. How was your trip? Are you going to share pics with us? We missed you around here to.

And befuddled, don't feel bad about Pizza for breakfast. I am sure we all have done that. And yes I realize pizza doesn't taste the same without pepsi. Now lets get back on tha ball and eat healthy for the new week in front of us....Sue

Default Wheelchair racing is excercise you know!

Hey Susie girl, I bet you would have been a great racer. If you ever get to the Mayo Clinic in MN, give it a try.

My trip was great. I won't be able to report on it tomorrow and will on Tuesday, I promise and if I remember how, I'll attach a picture. All I know is that I'm afraid to get on a scale.
