i work hard to lose 5# and then zip it comes back. i'm never ahead of this thing. then i feel like it's hopeless and i'm hopeless.

all else is going well tho. my house is great. my brother comes for his visit today and leaves fri am.

i hope you're all doing well. and i'm sending my bestest wishes that you all have a wonderful holiday season.

well, i spent the afternoon at the cardiologist's office.
i got the arrythmia again. finally, during the day. so i drove right down there.
and just as i'm driving into the parking lot it breaks (stops).

i was still out of breath and my BP was horribly high; 162/98.
thankfully the longer i was there the better i felt and the BP dropped some.

he increased the dose of one of my meds and i'm doing a holter monitor test in a few wks. i often have blips during the day that lasts only seconds. we'll see if we can catch it. i really wanted to make it to the office do they could document it but it just didn't happen.

just one more thing to deal with. thanks for listening.

Im so sorry you are going some cardiac problems. I hope they can
figure this out as it must be scary when it is all happening!

Did you already go and visit your brother? (maybe I am confused and
it is someone else)

Anyway wishing you peace and joy in the new year!!!

On a side note: I am down 70 pounds with a few more to go! Its
taken almost two years to do this. Its tough when excercising is
just so hard...but I did it...man I am hungry.

My oldest son will be home for the holidays next week so I am excited
to be all together. \

Peace and joy to all!!!!

sox,

i'm continually blown away by how much weight you're taking off.
you are amazing. can i ask again how you're handling the eating part?
you could be some inspiration for me!

i'm glad your son will be home. enjoy your family and have a great holiday.

my brother visited me for a couple of days about a wk ago. it was a nice visit and i'm glad he got to see my new house.

i hope we can figure this heart thing out. i think now they're trying to find answers so we can stay ahead of it.

merry x-mas and happy new yr.

Im glad you had a nice visit with your brother.

Okay...this is how I did it. I ate my dinner at noon. I skipped dinner
at night but ate a snack before bed(was starving). I usually had a
dish of sorbet(a pretty big dish). Thats it. The weight came off
really fast at first but its at a slow pace now.

I know they say its calories taken in and calories burned that make
weight loss happen and that it doesnt matter when you eat but......

it really worked! I also took vitamins. I have to say...I even splurge
alot during the day and I still easily maintain as long as I skip the
dinner and have snack at night!

Who knew!! Its probably the worse advice to skip a meal but I had
to do what I had to do!

Okay, done with book.

Sox, that's how I've lost mine too. I've started having one light meal and one heavier meal. I also cut out sweet tea for the most part and down water mostly. I try to stay busy so that helps. If I am not busy it's harder. I have popcorn every night for my snack.

Judy, I was having similar issues with my heart. It would start all of a sudden palpitating and it was like something was taking my breath away. I can usually "meditate breath" through it and it will end. But never lasts long enough to have a doctor look at it. I haven't taken meds for it and my EKG was normal. of course it was normal, I was palpitating! haha It may have been anxiety attacks for me even though I was never feeling anxiety.

Hope your problem isn't real serious.

Sandy, I've been having popcorn as my "snack" food, too. I found a really neat way to microwave pop my own without the expense and additives of pre-packaged microwave popcorn. I didn't think it would work but it does! You may already know about this method but for those who don't here it is:

Put 1/4 cup good quality popping corn into a small brown paper bag (lunch bag size).

I add about 1 tsp. extra virgin organic coconut oil but you can use extra virgin olive oil, too.

Press all the air out and fold the top over by about 1 inch. Staple closed. Yes, you can put the staple in the microwave. It won't hurt it.

I set the timer for 2:33 seconds but your time may be different depending on the wattage of your microwave.

It turns out really yummy. Sometimes I spray it with the no calorie fake butter....sometimes I just eat it plain. No salt! It's really good.

Sox, I am SO impressed with your weight loss. I am stalled at 48 pounds. I know if I really tried I could jump start it again but I just don't have the "umph" I need right now. Plus, it's so much easier in the Spring and Summer when fresh fruit and my favorite veggies are in season. I'm not a big fan of winter veggies and I can only take so much broccoli!

Nancy, I hope your heart condition isn't anything serious. As if we don't all have enough to deal with having MS.

Everyone have a wonderful holiday season and let yourself have a treat now and then. If we can't splurge then what's the point?!
