Default hello nurse nancy

I am sorry you are having trouble and they found ms symptoms. My cousin has that disease and it isn't fun. I also wish you well with your diet as you wish to be that new skinny butt. I was a bubble butt, I fell on rocks years ago and it saved my butt literally. But my body was obese, and I had trouble getting up. Well that is over. I am munching on dried mango right now, absolutely wow, from sunsweet, I eat the whole bad within two days. Try it. ginnie

Judy, I am so sorry you have to be at the doctors office all the time. It will slow down eventually. These doctors are new to you so this is your rush of testing to make sure all is OK. I am borderline diabetic so get that too. I don't see how, I am down to 127lbs and don't eat or drink a ton of sugar. I am hypoglycemic but the sugars are higher at fasting recently? So strange, used to be as low as 40 fasting. Not critical for me though, but very much so for others. I used to take a teaspoon of peanut butter when it would get that low or a salt packet if it was my bp. Now, high sugar. Grrrrrr.

Anyway, and will be praying all goes well and you wont have to deal with more health issues.

Judy I hope all the testing and doctor visits come to an end soon. It can be exhausting...especially when they're not sure what's going on. At least you're having it checked.

I'm trying hard to get back on track. I haven't been eating as healthy as I was during the summer but apparently I haven't gained anymore weight because everything still fits. DS took the scale out of my bathroom and into his. He's trying to gain weight. Wish I could give him some of mine! He really doesn't need to....looks fine to me....but he's into working out and I think he just wants to bulk up versus gain weight. I can do both, it seems............and I don't want either!!

thanks everyone.
thanks for listening.

kitty, your son should try some weight lifting. that will give him muscle without gaining a lot of weight.

yesterday i had a lot of arrythmia. i sent about 3 transmissions to the monitor folks. the dr called me back once. it was atrial fibrillation. finally an answer as what kind of arrythmia it was. he wants me to be seen in the office tomorrow. another trip. the danger of AF is that if it happens too much it can cause clots which can take a ride into your lungs.

and, being on tamoxifen increases that risk (the cancer med).
plus that's the heart problem my mom had. that's what she went to the hospital for and the rest is hx. she spent over 2 wks in the ICU and then died.
i know that won't happen to me but i still think about it.

Oh, Judy......he's up at 4 AM everyday and out the door to the gym. Home by 5:30 AM and out the door again for work by 6:30 AM. I don't know how he does it. Wait. Yes, I do. He's young! His father was heavily into weight lifting and working out. Guess he inherited that gene. Sure didn't get it from me, that's for sure.

Please keep us posted on what the heart doctor says. I'm glad they've narrowed down what it is and can address it now. Just stay one step ahead of it. That fluttering feeling in your chest can be unnerving. I've had that happen before....years ago....and it hasn't happened since. But it's scary. Please take care.

i spent the nite in the ER last nite.
i was having a lot of runs and when i transmitted the 3rd one the person told me to call the dr. i knew he would say go to the ER and he did. i knew it would stop by the time i got there but the dr said go anyway.

it'll be the last time unless the run doesn't break.
i got there at 2100 and got discharged at 0130!
it was awful. i was so tired. i was almost going to just leave but then medicare won't pay for the care.

all the tests were negative; chest x-ray, ekg and labwork.

i guess that's good. thanks for sticking with me.

hi all,

i've been wearing a holter monitor and that goes on for 1 month.
i've sent numerous transmissions of AF. the dr put me on a new antiarrhythmic and a blood thinner. i wan't crazy about the blood thinner but that's what it's come to.

otherwise i feel fine. i had to come off my muscle relaxer and i'm going to start another; Soma. anyone had success with that? i've taken to relentlessly reading the drug co handouts on these drugs. gosh there's a lot to know.

i also called aarp and spoke to a pharmacist who was part of their medication therapy management program. he talked to me for an hr. great resource.
and, he gave me some info on a website i can use to check for drug interactions.

take care all.

Default I have an announcement

I haven't eaten sugar in 2 weeks!!! Or any artificial sweeteners. I feel so much better and have stamina that I never used to.

I joined the "Biggest Loser" contest at work. Actually, its more of a "learn ways to eat healthier" group than a competition.

I've been steaming my veggies. I don't drink soft drinks or even fruit juice, but I eat fruit w/o guilt. I consume lots of water. I've only had one piece of homemade fudge and no other sweets or choccy (a record for me, I think!)

I'm not on a specific "diet", but I'm trying to eat healthy and avoid those in-between meal snacks. I hope by this time next year I'm only half the woman I am now, lol!!! Actually, I just want to feel good -- that's my main goal.

Cheers!

Judy, I hope you and your doc get things figured out for a healthier you!

Sounds like a great plan, Twink. I've found that if I try to stick to a "diet" I get discouraged. Just trying to eat healthier (and less) seems to work for me, too.

Let's face it.....I'm 50 years old and will never, ever wear a bikini again. Even if it looked half way decent on me....that season has come and gone. I just want to feel and be healthy. Irregardless of what size I wear or what the scale says.
