hello all,

i don't remember where i left off...
my arrhythmia dx was atrial fibrillation. the dr put me on an anti-arrhythmic and blood thinners. i hate that but he wouldn't budge.

i finally returned the monitor after a month and caught plenty of the episodes.

so, i go see my oncologist for a regular f/u appt. she hears i've got afib and is all bent out of shape. so, she sends me for a stat CT scan with contrast to make sure i don't have any pulmonary emboli. and i don't. but, they see a right lower lobe infiltrate that could be an infection. i'm on 5 days of antibx's
and in 6 wks i get a CXRay.

now i also have to have a sleep study to make sure that i'm doing ok on the cpap. what a pain. i may be forgetting something but that's the update.

hope you're all doing well.

Judy, I hope you're feeling better.

I have really tried to get back on track and think I'm now in my "groove" again. It was rough 'cos once I get off track it's so hard to straighten up again. I really just want to eat healthy and eliminate certain things (sugar) completely from my diet. I've done pretty good so far but still get the craving for something completely bad every now and then. My saving grace is the fact that I don't have a car anymore! I have to make do with what I have on hand.

I hope everyone is doing well. It's so hard (for me, anyway) to stay motivated during these blah days of winter. I think once Spring finally arrives I'll get a burst of motivation.

hi all,

my heart has been great. my BP is great. and i've lost 5#. i'm trying very hard to curtail my night time eating.

i had a sleep study last nite and i do need the CPAP. but with it i do well.
i had a bloody stool so i'm having the dreaded colonoscopy soon. my dr is young and so cute. candy for the eyes. i temporarily stopped the blood thinner.
it was a fri so i called the dr. he said "my 1st choice would be for you to go to the ER". and i said "and what would be your 2nd choice?".

i saw the GI dr mon. i'm not going to the ER unless i'm dying.

all else ok. cathy comes Sat and i'm really looking forward to her visit.
take care all.

hello everyone,

things are keeping on and aside from it all i'm doing well.
i got thru the colonoscopy. my colon was clean. but, they found some polyps in the upper part of my stomach. and, a cluster of blood vessels the dr thought might bleed when i'm on my blood thinners. so, 3/3 i'm having an ablation procedure. that means they will cauterize the polyps and the vessels.

monday i'm having a repeat of my lower back injections. it's been 6 mos and it's wearing off. then maybe i will have a wk with no dr/procedure appts.

hope you all are well and getting ready for spring. it's been 80 here for a couple of days.

sandy, how is jim?

the cluster of blood vessels is an arteriovenous malformation. the dr said it's larger than he thought so in a few wks i have to go back for a repeat procedure. in the recovery room my BP was very elevated and the nurses had to give me 3 hits of an IV antihypertensive to get it down to safe levels.

i'm not looking forward to doing it again. i was so tired and it took me days to recover. guess the old body and MS.

it's kind of rare to have an AVM in the stomach. i see the dr on fri and am adding to my list of Q's.

my next goal is to get my coccyx injected. it has been killing me. i can hardly sit at the computer more than 10 "'s. if i'm going anywhere i have to drag the darn cushion with me. sometimes i just have to go to bed. ugh

i hope spring is springing for most of you. my grass is actually greening up.
