Default The good and the bad~

I agree with Jan. Hug him and thank God for the Blessing he gives each day. I
am also like Jan and sure can think of the negitive 06 has brought. I am thankful for the place I live in town now. I just love it! I am thankful for friends like you gals. So far I have enough money to live on and don't owe any debts. BUT---------------------------

I lost my husband and miss him terrible. Had three major surgeries. My brother in law hates me I think. They won't have anything to do with me. They never call, never visit. My son can't walk anymore. He was attacked and thrown out of his wheelchair against the sidewalk lately. He is in prison.

Again on the upbeat side, I have never been so busy. I really can't be on here much anymore for I have had to work. Selling the land, the farmhouse, and now all thats left are my husbsnds tools and some furniture. We are planning on a large croud this Monday. People are coming in and looking from everywhere. I hope it is a good auction! It has kept me busy for months. Then the closing on the house is next. I thank God I have been able to do all this and thank you for putting up with me. I have not always been in a good mood & I will work on that for 07.
Hugs,
BC

Thank you Jan,

I hope to get an antenna for this T.V. someone gave to me. I may be able to watch the ball drop after all.

Doody, cute kid. I know how happy he must make you.

For 06 the most important thing I did was take the first step to bring my sisters and I back together. It has helped tremendously in my life. Other than that I always try to go the extra mile for people such as helping them if it is possible and I am proud to say that my kids have followed in that they are always helping a neighbor or helping someone lift or carry something, say at the store. I try to donate what I can and will give a few dollars to someone who I think may honestly need it. I figure a couple of bucks isn't going to make a big difference in my life but it may make a big difference in someone else's. Yes I have been told that they probably just went and bought beer but once it leaves my hands it is theirs to do as they please. And most importantly I try to smile and make eye contact with people I see. Too often we are wrapped up in our own lives with cell phones and always being in a hurry, so I like to slow down and notice the sunset or smile at those around me. They are contagious you know...Sue

Keep hanging in there sweetie. That's about all you can do. Been there and done that too... Your life WILL settle down as time passes. Really, it will. It's good you are so busy now. Will there be someone with you tomorrow after the auction? I hope so. I'll be home honey, call me when you need me!!
Take care of YOU! Love you both!
Hugs,

I had this on a reply and got company. Thanks Jan, you are always there for me. I wish some more would check in. It's nice when some we don't hear from very much, have a little to say. It cheers me up to know they are still interested in us also. I think I will have someone with me part of the time. I will have Mark there (Bob's nephew). He will be there when the tools sell. I don't know about me. I can only stand for about 10 minutes & I have told the auctioneer. My left legs goes numb, then my knee is in severe pain. Doc said he thinks I have permanent nerve damage. They are going to check it in June.
Nothing has ever helped it tho.

Default Good topic

Hi Jan and all others,

Jan I can think of lots of things you've done on this board, you cheer people up, you're a swell friend, although I can't say I've been very supportive this year at all. I've had bouts of depression off and on and tend to stay away when I'm like that as I'm afraid of dragging others down with me. I'm seeing a counselor who is helping me work through the things that happened when I was a child (sexual abuse, etc) Its been a long road but I'm working on it trying to make myself a better person. I tend to get in a hole when I'm feeling down.

I joined a prayer group with a friend of mine and we pray for others who have problems or health issues, etc.

I've tried to be a good friend but don't always connect sometimes as you all well know.

Nance and Jan, sorry for not keeping in touch like I should.

Love Lynn

Doody;

I love the picture of your grandchild. I WANT ONE. We do have another wedding this year so pretty soon, someone is going to "pop"!
