I have a terrible time with make up too! Have you tried Bare Minerals? Back when I was working and had money, I bought the starter kit and loved it. I had no problems with it at all.

Also, DD18 started selling Avon and I think she still has some samples of some make up - Ideal Shade. Not sure what colors she has left but I can check and send you some if you want.

Dove is great with coupons. I emailed them and they sent me a sheet full

I use the Dove yogurt/vanilla stuff. Smells SO nice. The foamy hand soap is my favorite. Makes your skin feel really soft

OK, I usually use Mary Kay to take my makeup off at night, but was in a Dollar Store the other day and bought a jar (double pack) of inexpensive Vit E cream. I used a cotton pad and it took my makeup off slicker than a whistle. I also have been using it now for an extra moisture night cream for my face, since it's so dry right now.

It works GREAT and is cheap! My MK lady will not like this one bit!! ha!

Here's my tip of the day.

I use cetaphil as my facial cleanser. The gentle skin cleanser one not the daily skin cleanser.

Its the best cleanser out there and I have tired cheap and expensive ones and keep coming back to Cetaphil.

Well here is a little tip my derm doc told me. Get in the shower and wash your face with the cetaphil but do not rinse off until you are ready to get out of the shower. Its so gentle and mositurzing that if left on for the duration of your shower it acts like a hydrating mask.

Also the best moisturzing lotion I have found while a little pricey is Fenix. Super moisturizing and great SPF. I buy it at amazon. It was made by a husband for a his wife who had lupus I believe and needed something super protective of the sun yet super gentle.

I think it's a great idea!

I think that we girls do need a Forum just for us, and although Women's Health is a great Forum, sometimes it just doesn't cover all the little itty bitty bits that worry us.

I do think we'd need to generate a bit more interest in order to make that viable. Any thoughts on how to make that happen while building up this Forum?

I like Basis Bar for Sensitive Skin to wash my face. It is very reasonably priced. I also use Cetaphil...which I have purchased at Costco.
For a cream/moisturizer...I usually use ROC...which you can simply purchase at the drugstore.
Another thing I do, is use a Retin A RX...but I only use this once or twice a week. This is on the expensive side, but since I only use a little and not often, it lasts a long time.
Recently, I have added a Vitamin C cream that I got at Merle Norman Cosmetics. This is a little expensive, but I only use it a few times a week (and very little).
For me, sticking to a regular routine has kept my complextion very nice.
I do think the Retinol has helped...but I am pleased to report that it doesn't take much to get good results and this keeps the costs down.

Shelley, I'm with you, I am a committed Cetaphil user, it has made a huge difference for me as I enter the Big M. The derma tells me I have "post-adolescent" acne. Um, duh, like I hadn't figured that out myself. (I'm being punished for having made it through my whole youth with a clear face.)

I prefer the bar for sensitive and use a cotton pad to apply and a clean one to rinse. Then Cetaphil lotion, it's super light and absorbs very nicely. Since we're all girls here, , I will mention that the texture of the liquid Cetephil is unpleasant to me... it's a lot like... well... semen.

Also, women and their friendships is always a pretty serious area for most of us. That might be an extra avenue in the relationships department.

Several of my friends serve as mentors to young teen women, some at risk. It's a wonderful gift to the young, upcoming women, and my friends find it very fulfilling— and surprisingly informative.

This is neat, Yappy, "health" goes so far beyond eating habits and medications. I hope it flies for us!

I got hooked on Philosophy skin care products during my infatuation with QVC. Their fragrances are nice, too. Very soft and light. Amazing Grace is my favorite.

I use the Purity skin cleanser and the Hope In A Jar moisturizer. I have tried most everything out there and have not found anything better. I have sensitive skin that tends to break out if I use anything harsh and these products are perfect for me.

It's not cheap and I've had to find ways to get it cheaper than just ordering from their website. QVC does have some good deals on it from time to time...you just have to pay attention to when the sales are. Also, I've found that eBay sells all kinds of makeup and skin care products for much less than retail. I just make sure it's in new and unopened condition.

I wouldn't be able to use it as it may make DBF jealous. LOL

I have used the Cetaphil body cream before at it was on sale at Walgreen's. I did really like it but can't afford it at its regular price.

I do buy a cheap apricot scrub and really like that. I follow up with a dab of olive oil and rub it in while my face is still damp. See ya later, fine lines.
