Hi and welcome Judylouwho.

Medications can help to alleviate symptoms of OCD. I've found, with reading many, that CBT in combination with meds was extremely helpful. Eventually, some who use meds are able to go off of them and continue therapy until they feel that their anxieties are stressors are more manageable.

For me, I can have OCD-like symptoms when under HIGH anxiety but I do not have the disorder. When the anxiety is acknowledged, then worked with, it lessons and the symptoms leave.

I'm glad you're here and hope to hear more from you.

KD
