I did talk with him (Pdoc) about the meds... he agrees that I am on a lot of stuff...but wants to see what happens with the increase of the Zoloft.

I'm just tired of the hurry up and wait mode that I am stuck in... kind of like a big revolving door.

I just want all of this to go away!! (I know realistically that this is just not going to happen)

I feel like a human guinea pig or maybe a crash test dummy.

Thank you all for caring...

Abbie

I am checking in. So far so good. I talk to the pdoc about my meds and we are uping the lamictal to 150mg. And I am ready. for my concentration, I am going on ritalin because concerta is too expenisive. I took ritalin when I was a kid in elementary school. So yeahhhh here I am talking it as an adult.

I am sorry you feel like a ginny gins (ginny pig) I know what that is like. It has to be one of the most frustrating part of getting on the right meds. I hate that. I sometimes wish it can all go away too. It would be so nice. I hope things work out better so you no longer feel that way because you should not have feel that way.

Dear Sharla,
I'm not exactly sure what is a mixed state either.
But I know I experienced them for years and they were awful.
Essentially in my case they were moods combined with the energy of mania and the low low part of depression --- basically the worst of both at the same time.

Hi, Sharla,
Some people say that when Lamictal gets to the right dose, they feel fine.

I took ritalin as an adult for a couple of years. It helped with brain fog.

I used to have mix states a lot before I was diagnosed. I did not have medication. So I was like that a bit. I am glad I am all better now.

Yeah when I started lamictal, I had really bad memory loss hahaha I was like dori from Finding Nemo. Well regardless i love Dori! I can totally relate to her ya know

Dear Sharla,
Can you believe that I missed that movie?

The manic side of me feels like WONDER WOMAN on speed!!!

The mixed part is having the energy and No Fear of WONDER WOMAN but having the memory of Dorrie, but not really caring and heading no where but down.

The depressed side of me knows no hope and doesn't see any good nor any future.

Well... I'm off to see if I can take a nap...

WOW! I know what you mean when you say wonder woman on speed. And the depression tells you that you have no future. Or that you are dooomed? IT is hard sometimes to say to yourself, I have a great future ahead of me and that I am not doomed at all!!!!!!!!!!! NO LIES!
my brain tells me these lies a lot too. I have to tell them to hush lol
But on somedays I sort of believe it. But I should not be a sucker no more!
You have a future. And Naps feel really good!

HUGS
