I can not sleep at the moment. So for those who are having a great weekend so far, I am glad for you and for those who are having a tough weekend, I hope you all feel better.

Dear Waves,

It sounds like you are getting unnecessary input.
It's hard to deal with that kind of stuff -- esp about food.
I hope that you can take it easy.

Default Good thread Bizi ...

I'll get to read what I've managed to get done.

Today is Sunday here.

So yesterday - not well enough even to have a shower in the morning.
Watched the news - usual bickering with teenage daughter - lunch of an apple, one toast with peanut butter and black current jam and a half portion of caramel custard, two squares of dark chocolate with walnut.
I can't eat anything with a sharp taste or aroma when I am like this.
-Read.
-Napped.
-managed a shower.
-Watched Djokovitch and Federer go into the semis at the Basel ATP tournament. News.
-Surfed the web for more news and a few features that I am interested in (at least my brain should be as well oiled as I can possibly keep it)
-Turned down a couple of chances to meet friends.
-Felt a sense of achievement when I was able to genuinely say that I was NOT miserable.
-Dinner was similar to lunch - a slice of ham instead of the caramel custard.
-Blogged till late.
-Read again.

I suppose a sense of achievement is relative.

Today will probably be similar.

Heart

Mothers and daughters are the most complicated issue in life. Women are powerful and want to be their own voice, but we need someone to love and admire us in our mothers. Mothers want us to live their life as they plan it and control it,

I wish peace for your heavy soul. We can not sleep when the mind is filled with clutter.

Sorry to go on and on, but maybe for my own heart too I had to take this trip.
Do you like puzzles to put together? I can remember every section being completed of the old time Coke Cola one we did.

Now Katie and I should put one on the table and work on it,
Di

Dear Di,
I am so sorry that you had to endure abuse as a child and then as an adult form your mother.
It sounds as though you have made your peace and can look back upon some memories that were not traumatizing. It is amazing how we can change our focus of remembering as we get older. They say that time heals wounds....I sure hope that is true.
Glad that you are comfortable with us here to share these stories with us.
thank you

Dear Di,

I don't even know how to respond. This is hard to have a mother like that.
I'm glad you posted.

I like the picture of you and Katie doing a puzzle together on the table.

Default hubby

Hi,
I haven't been able to sleep at night and I work in the day.
Sat I didn't sleep much.
Today was the first day in a week I got some sleep.

Hubby woke me up.
I have no idea what he was thinking.
I told him as clearly as possible that he is not to wake my up.
'Told him this before but he needs reminding apparently.
Then he got annoyed at me.

I have a long book I need to read. Then I'll make sure I have something more or less clean to wear tomorrow to work. Sad.

It has been very hard for me to manage.
He needs to be more on my team.
I'm not happy with him right now.
