Mari

I hope your acupunturist can help. I think you need to make
it work out how ever you can. Good luck.

Pretty much the sleep thing stinks. I worry that I am getting worse. I want to be well.

I slept 3 hours Sunday night. Then I fell asleep in front of the tv for 1 hour Monday evening. I'm still up. I don't want to go to bed but I am drop down sleepy.

Tdoc called to check on me. We arranged an appt in 2 weeks.
My acupuncturist returned my call. I might see her this weekend.

Mari

I am thinking of you. I really wish I had a clue how to help you figure
out how to sleep better at night.

I can totally understand being tired during the day. I've been having
trouble sleeping at night too at times.

But I decided that if I really feel like I need to sleep during the day.
Like today that I would do so. I honestly cancelled a PT appointment
because I felt that sleeping this morning was much more important.

So I ended up sleeping from about 12 last night, till getting up and
getting Derrick off on his bus at 6:30. I then slept on the couch
till 9am. And then my husband got up, and with all 4 dogs on
the couch with me. I told my husband I was going to lay down
till 10am, because I was to leave at that point to go to PT at
11am.

But I couldn't sleep because of being worried, I shouldn't have
worried my husband had planned to make sure I knew it was 10am.
But I came out at 9:45 and told him I was cancelling my PT because
I just didn't feel good, and needed to sleep.

After cancelling I went back to bed till 1pm. WOW, it was really goo.

Default sleep

Dear Mari,

i am hoping you got to see your accupuncturist. i will check back in at some point to see if you have an update. meanwhile, i am just hoping you get your sleep in, whenever you can.

Dear Donna,

good for you! (and i so enjoyed the bit about the couch with all four dogs up on there... i bet it was nice and warm, for sure!)

---------------------

recently i had a period of extreme fatigue and insomnia with broken sleep - plus a plethora of other issues (due to my performing idiocies with my benzo taper).

anyway, i decided sleep is a huge huge management factor with this, and that i can't afford to let the attempt at a "civilized" schedule stop me from getting enough sleep. so, i have given myself permission to sleep however much and whenever i need OR want, at least until i finish the taper. if i manage to get a job of course i will have to remove the "whenever" clause but the weekends will be free rein still.

i am off caffeine completely too (unbelievable for me! i have not even had a "vacation" from caffeine since i was 16!) and i actually think that is helping my nerves and my sleep quality overall.

i find that not fighting tiredness constantly has made an amazing difference, even in my mood.

It is good to see you post.
I have been wondering how you are doing and hoping that your absence was not related to difficulties.

I hope sleep is good for you.
Benzo tapers are hard.
