Thanks Donna, thanks waves, for understanding. It's the tooth between the front and the eye, so it's ruined my smile. I'm pretty sad about it to be perfectly honest. *sigh*

Dear Pam, I'm so sorry. It really hurts when something changes a significant feature, doesn't it. I cracked a tooth in the front once - luckily not deeply, it was fine. But i remember being terrified i would lose it.

i know it is not the same, but they can put in bridges and the like, to fill gaps - maybe it is not possible for you at this time, but perhaps at some point, it will be.

Thank you for caring Mari, waves, Beth & Donna, you all make me feel cared about. Thank you for posting. I'm sorry I just don't feel very good emotionally right now, when I can I will be around more and posting again. I lurk though and read your posts, I hope you've all had good weekends, mine has gone well enough. Still depressed about this tooth situation. But we'll see, someone on another board I go to posted about a dental flipper, I might be able to get one to restore my smile for photos and the like.

www.mynewsmile.com/dental/dental_flipper.htm

So that kinda cheered me up a bit. Expensive but I should be able to get one this year if all goes well.

Default aha

i know someone who has had those, several times - while waiting for major work (implants/bridges). they had some very good, and very bad experiences (with the permanent work too!) the most recent one was so good the person didn't want to give it up for the permanent replacement! lol.

the big variable in these cosmetic ones, is how they are made: to feel good, they must be well-formed, to match your natural tooth shape and fit well in your mouth with your other teeth. hope this works out well for you Pam!

(((hugs))) to you.

Pam, I hope you are feeling more cheerful today. I have been feeling down today myself. I am on my 3rd week after the surgery and I hate being stuck at home with nothing to do. I hope your arm feels better soon. Sometimes it seems when it rains it pours doesn't it? You take care.

I wish I could say I'm doing great but things kind of suck right now. Summer is here and it's just so hot. We aren't getting a pool pass this summer because we tried to go and it was to capacity so we don't see the point of getting a pass now. I started a new blood pressure med yesterday and have been feeling like crap for weeks, the ace inhibitor I was on was making me sick to my stomach all of a sudden. So now I am on a beta blocker hopeful it will work for me. NO walking and arm is better, but I am just depressed. Having a real hard time....I am glad to pop in and see you posted Beth, thank you, that makes me smile. Take care.
