Red face

well the fidgetyness and head-invasion-by-songs is not gone but seems better. it seems to fluctuate somewhat. i haven't had the nasty wound up feeling any more though, and haven't taken any more benzo's after that half lorazepam the other day. i even had caffeinated coffee this morning.

my sleep is starting to go all over the map. sometimes i get tired and sleep part of the night, and then morning. but then i can't sleep at night again for a few nights... it's weird. sigh. i keep meaning to take the some of my benzo to help me sleep... but i conveniently forget at the time i should take it.

no matter what i do and even with enough sleep behind me, in the afternoons i am almost always dead tired.

I am sorry your sleep is all over the map...kind of hard to get in a routine of taking meds then.
wish it were easier for you.
glad to hear that the side effects may be lessening for you!

Blush Zoloft day 9 at 50mg

Dear Bizi,

i always take my Zoloft at 6 am... pretty routine. i think i've taken it later only on 2 occasions, because i was sleeping or just awake (not hungry) at 6. yesterday a bit earlier, because i was ravenous.

i am always awake at the time i "ought" to take sleep meds. so it's not like sleep patterns interfere with meds... sigh........ i just forget!

but i have yet to forget to take the Zoloft!!!!!!!

so i think deep down maybe i am resisting sleeping at night... same ol' same ol' ... the light bothers me during the daytime. but it's not true photosensitivity/photophobia. it's more like, i just dislike it?

(((hugs)))

Red face day 10

i am feeling like crap.

took my zoloft late, as in now. reason. i could not be bothered to get up from the bed to fetch my yogurt.

if i don't see a net improvement by the time i see my pdoc again (next week tuesday), i'm going to talk to him about going up to 100. i'll do 75 first. but i'm thinking i need a good whack, here.

Dear Waves,

That sounds good.
You had maybe one day with activation. Or was it more? You had other things going on during the Zoloft ride like the breathing but that was determined for now not to be Zoloft related.
Did you have a correlation with headaches so far this time?
M.

Hi Mari

the activation has been for some time. it was only bad enough one day to take lorazepam. but it does seem to have subsided. i had some headache twinges early on, when i was still taking 25. after that i had sinus headaches but and i messed up my nasal spray so not surprising. but those are different location-wise. anyway, nothing like last time i had headaches consistently for at least a week.

i didn't think the breathing thing was Zoloft related but my pdoc did put a doubt in my mind with his observation that it could have been an "anxiety-equivalent" (never heard that one before, but i get the gist...) - if that's the case, it could have been the Zoloft. this time around, the keyed-up feeling when i took the lorazepam was close to anxiety. so who knows now. i wish there were a way to find out, but there isn't.

Crazy

oh man. i am so so so tired of that waka waka song by Shakira ringing in my head. they are advertising a synthesized version of it on tv, as a ring tone for cellphones... sheesh. (it is the 3rd or 4th ringtone to get stuck in my head, lately, btw.) ok well, to try and get rid of the waka waka part which was driving me batty, and also to do the song justice, i went and listened to the entire "real" song on youtube... in english and in spanish. so now, even MORE of it has insinuated itself into my brain, in english AND spanish! and what is in my head now is a jumble of spanglish!!!! arrghhhh!!!! few words of this, a line of that... and then, of course, in with the ol' tsamina mina eeh eeh all over again...

well i just took my zoloft with a cheese sandwich because i am too lazy to make eggs. i don't know if i will sleep. maybe i will try staying up today. i told my mom i'd go to the store. have to buy yogurt for her at least. i'm supposed to go off dairy but i might not just yet. i mean if i'm not gonna make eggs, then yogurt beats a cheese sandwich.

Dear Waves,
I am going to take your word on it and not check on the Shakira song.

Cheese with bread is an occissionaly night time snack for me. I've noticed becaue I don't each bread products (excpet fo the rare piece of milet bread that I keep in the freezer) I am not used to holding sandwhices in my hands as I did until last Oct 09. Having a sandwhich or a half sandwhich is a comfort sometimes because of the hand dynamic.
