Dear Coffeegirl,

i am so sorry all this is happening to you.

can you get in to see a neuro? i agree these things don't sound like ADHD. and these aren't pure memory problems either. it sounds like you are going on automatic pilot but aren't really "there" some of the time.

the only thing that comes to mind, but i really don't have a vast knowledge of neurological problems so take it as a casual suggestion, is complex partial seizures. a person will often go on doing "routine" things but they are not cognizant at the time... and won't necessarily do things quite right (consistent with putting a coffee pot in the fridge, or spraying the carpet as if it were the grass). but i'd say you really need a doctor here. i imagine there could be lots of other conditions which might cause lapses of some sort. they will probably want to give you an EEG and MRI to see what is going on.

please get medical attention right away!
