consultant just called me.... details are still tbd but the client from the last interview said YES...

they are working out budgetary stuff for the 2011 deal, but he put the squeeze on them so as not to keep me hanging and they said they could approve a contract through end of year immediately!

woww. omg. joining the work force again... i am still jumping out of my skin. i am excited, wow.

i thought i'd be scared - i guess that will hit later.... hehe. right now it just feels good that someone wants to HIRE ME!!!!

i'm gonna get a paycheck......

i'm gonna be able to PAY MY PDOC!!!!!

and thank you so much for putting up with all my whining through this process. (well, i might not quite be done whining yet... but i'm taking a break. )

i've been sorta sleeping and cooking and... well... worrying a bit the past couple days.

consultant called today to say they confirmed through June of next year, but he's still waiting for them to get back regarding the start date. hopefully should know by thursday - we have a tentative meeting to set up the contract then.

start date will be likely be nov 22 (monday after next), but may be pushed up to the 17 (next wednesday).

i am sort of fretting about clothes. i used to have another warm business jacket. can't find it. the client is an insurance company so no jeans looks like. does sound like it will tend to be 9-6 though. that's ok. i'll trade jeans and "flex" time for business clothes and not having to "flex" up to 50 hours staple and then work at home too.

i am hoping the change in patterns will settle the demons. so far when it's not one thing it's another. i'm still functional. that's good.

I completely understand the fretting. But you know in your head that you'll mange with the clothes. You can repeat two or four outfits until you get paid and can buy some pants. They will be happy to see you.

This is excellent! Does this mean you expect to not have to take home work or work overtime? Fantastic. Double fantastic.
