How is everyone doing?

Today I had to go to a craft store to pick up some pretty buttons I had ordered to fix up a blouse I bought on a sale rack a few months ago. That craft store was near the mall. I ended up in the middle of 5:00 pm mall traffic.

Then I brought home chicken for hubby and beans and rice for me from Pollo Tropical (take out place).

Tomorrow we are going out to a Chinese buffet with two friends. Even though I find Chinese food disgusting, I orchestrated the get together for the others. I'm hoping that I can find some steamed fish and plain rice . . . .

We went to my mom's and had a great lunch. Had even a great christmas
eve with my son's at my house. THe kids and grandkids all loved their
gifts. It sure makes it a great time when that happens.

My son Derrick wanted to know how we knew he wanted the WII Udraw.
We didn't his brother Devin had suggested we get it for him. HE also
took some pictures with his new camera yesterday at my moms.

We had my grandson's and one granddaughter with us and my son
Danny. BEcause my daughter-in-law had fallen christmas eve and
still had a really bad head. SHe didn't get any sleep on christmas eve.

we have been enjoying our families....eating good food, visited with myneice who surprised us with a christmas day visit with her husband the marine who is home after his tour in aphganistan....they live in north carolina now. She is 18 and newly married, going to school and raising a puppy. they are "home" for a visit for another week, which is great for their families and friends.
We had never really visited with him before so it
was enlightening tohear his stories. the one that freaked me out were the camel spider stories. google camel spiders...yikes!!!!!!

Mari i like your five ladies dacing (and grinning) i hope you had a good time with your friends. can always fill up on rice at Chinese places. i will have to try to think of other thins. some places will like, do plain grilled items - meat or fish. would like to hear what you chose in the end


BIzi glad you had a good time ... so you were not in Indy? i am confused. i think i'll pass on googling camel spiders for now... my brain is already doing enough with it without more "food" for thought

Donna that sounded like a nice day too and i am so glad to have all your sons' names in the same post now... hee hee i will book mark it. i know you are all D's but for a long time i thought Dale was one of your kids but i guess that is your hubby, huh? lol.

i totally undid Christmas. couldn't do the gifts couldn't do the food ...
i did write my parents a card. saying thank you. when i am better i will see to the other things.... sigh....

yes we are still in indy, went to my folks for christmas day then back home this afternoon. I will go to my sisters tomorrrow night to spend the night and go shopping, Ihave a kolhs gift card and a return. She loves to shop....I don't so this will be interesting.
leave for home on wed, spend the night in memphis then LAF on thursday.
I don't know what we are doing for new years, probably quiet birthday compared to last year!

Derrick went to the movie Tron today, and I paid for my granddaughter
Jazmin to go with him. On Thursday he and his girl are going to
Chronicles of Narnia.

Christmas came and went soooo fast, 2010 did also.

i read the whole series as a kid... and reread them.... of course they are all packed in the cellar somplace now....

but i have only seen the first of the movies though (Lion Witch Wardrobe). Prince Caspian escaped me! The Voyage of The Dawn Treader (the one out now) i remember as very "pretty" which means that is how i envisioned it... i hope they render the images well....

sigh i hope i don't miss this one... they don't stay in theaters for long...
i wonder if i can find it playing in one of the original language theatres.... nest sigh........

Made it home today, on the way it rained alitttle, but I heard earlier that it poured here!!!!! We needed the rain. We are down some 23 inches of rain for the year...my girl friends house is settling after they took some trees out, they are now having foundation problems....
We are happy to be home, always nice to see the family, I prefer our summer visits...don't like the snow and cold weather at all.
