Hi,

In December my big boss had a meeting, announced that she wanted the immediate boss gone, and let people vote for the replacement boss. They our first day back to work, the big boss changed her mind. This is ridiculous.
We are still stuck with with my awful immediate boss. Morale is worse that it ever was.


I emailed Human Resources and will follow up with a phone call when I wake up Wednesday. HR helped back in August when I had a problem with the two bosses then. I feel that I am going to straighten out the mess that the big boss created. Also, I am going to offer the big boss a compromise.

It can be very difficult to fire someone these days.

People tend to sue or threaten to. It may be that the "big" boss has no choice!

At the HMO I worked at in the past, our intake person was making the most horrible errors, over and over. Some were life threatening. My supervisor kept all of them in a file, and finally fired her. There were hundreds of errors in that file over a short time frame! She sued the HMO and there was a trial even!
It was a huge big deal! In the end the judge gave her what for and she lost her bid. (she was close to retirement, and she lost that too-- she should have gone out on disability because of her health issues).

The stress on us and the supervisor and all the time taken to document and attend the trial was huge!

The immediate boss bullied the big boss into letting her stay instead of moving her to somewhere else where she can do less damage.
The big boss is a moron for letting one person mess up an entire dept.

My appt. is at 10:30. I have another meeting at 11:00. I want to look fine (no crying) when I get to the 11:00 meeting.

The last time I was in HR, the head made me feel better and solved the problem. She is good at her job.

I don't know if I took my night meds or not.
So confused.
Maybe I'll take them now in case I did not take them.

Not sleeping. Working around the clock it seems.
Work stinks a lot. Lots and lots of meetings, . . .
The bright spot is that classes start Monday.
I have good students.

Not sure what the consequences of double dosing would be for you. guess for today not bad since it is saturday.

i am glad you have your students to look forward to.

i should go out today but i don't feel like it. either i have reverted to night owl mod or pdoc's whole freakin gram of freakin depakote is doing something. it doesn't help that it is very cold and very wet outside. and my bed is very warm and very dry.
