Dear Kay,

You have so so much on your mind. You seem to be carrying lots of burdens by yourself.

Loss of mobility can feel like loss of independence. I can see what the recital is hard for you to think about.

I appreciated hearing about your uncle watching out for you. It's good to hear that someone is gentle and good toward you.

You hubby might come around. He is a capable of change . . . . first he needs to see that he is the problem and then want to change . . . it could happen.

I thought my brother was coming with me to Boston tomorrow, but it turns out I'm flying solo again.... They've changed the Tysabri schedule so I can only get appointments after 1 and I'm going to get stuck in rush hour traffic when I leave... it just makes an already long day, longer.

The MS RN left a message yesterday (she continues to call my house phone even tho I always give her my cell as the call back no.)- basically, the neuro isn't going to do anything with me. She said an appt. with the neuro or NP "in a few weeks," and the neuro wants to rule out the medication causing me to get worse- the medication I'm going to get tomorrow... Frustrating and very reassuring.
I'm going to veto the MRI if it comes up again because I just got the bill from my colonoscopy ($150). It may not seem like much but all the copays and bills add up. God only knows what my share of yet another (I've already had 8 since 1998) MRI will be. I just had a brain MRI done in January and my share was $1,500- not that I can pay it. I wasn't on medicare then tho.

Traffic wasn't too bad going in. Sometimes they start the infusion late and I end up leaving an hour + late, but not this time. The RN took me in early and I finished right on time; but the traffic gods weren't kind to me and I hit pretty heavy traffic coming home.

I did see the MS RN. I have to go back to Boston Wednesday to see the neuro and my appointment is at 8:30am I hope I can get my brother to go with me this time.
I guess they don't think the tysabri is making me worse, but think it isn't a strong enough drug (it's pretty fing strong). The next options are not very appealing- I have to re-research them all and hit my MS site for feedback.
For the meantime, they're not giving me anything to help my symptoms until I see the neuro.

I'm on the depressed side, and am having a lot of anxiety. I started crying yesterday when I was telling the RN about my pain. This may be situational depression?
I see my tdoc (YEA!) on Thursday and the pdoc the following week.

I'm exhausted. I'm in pain. But I'm okay.

While writing the last post, a moving truck pulled up to the front door and over the lawn (not allowed), blocking my satellite dish. So, I got up, opened my slider, and asked them to move it....
They did, but then my neighbor came to my door to ask me if he could move my car so the movers could back up to the door, and he would move it back a little while later. I reluctantly said I'd move it...
But then he came back and said I didn't have to move it because they were able to back the truck up...
Neighbors...
But I think it was really about the movers being inept.
